Our community was named Riverton because of the four rivers that meet here.
It lies along the Bighorn River at the mouth of the Wind River. Founded as Wadsworth in 1906, it was renamed Riverton because of its location near the convergence of four rivers.
Riverton is home to Central Wyoming College and is adjacent to the Wind River Indian (Shoshone and Arapaho) Reservation.
Riverton has become Fremont County’s largest community with a population of well over 10,000 people in the city and the area immediately around it. Commercial activity in Riverton attracts people from all over the county and even from surrounding areas.

Lovely Tex Mex Restaurant. The atmosphere is great, also very clean, nice decoration and love for details! Very unique style and every corner and seating area is different. Service very friendly and fast. Food was not my cup of tea, bec I really love original Mexican cuisine with real flavor and spices! The food here was more dry, almost none flavor. No real cheese used for Quesadillas. Chips and Salsa also nothing special. Drinks: No free refills! And cups are full with ice cubes, meaning you have almost no drink in your glass. If you’re up for a fun night in a nice atmosphere with good service and don’t have expectations for real Mexican food.. that’s the place for you.

I had a single Chile Relleno with beans and rice and a Margarita, my standard first order at a new- to -me Mexican place. They were a little short on the rice and beans but the entree was very tasty and the drink tangy. The place is clean, service was good and the buliding interesting.

Service was horrible. We arrived 30 minutes before closed to a very grumpy server. She did not welcome us and was frowning the whole time. When it came time to order she said she could not make the food we requested due to it being 30 minutes till close. Which we understood and the proceeded to ask what we could order. In a snarky tone she said “ANYTHING THAT DOESN’T TAKE 20-30 MINUTES TO MAKE”. Logically as a costumer how would we know how long each food item does or doesn’t take to make? We ended up only ordering drinks because nothing apparently on the menu could be made at the time. She brought us the check and followed it up with a “next time come in earlier than 30 minutes before close and we can actually make you some food”. She then proceeded to smile and thank the table next to us for coming in. If our server (a lady with colorful hair) had simply been friendly and a lot less snarky, and would’ve explained that certain things cannot be made after a certain time we would understand. The restaurant should announce somewhere by the entrance that food will not be served at or after 8:30 pm or just change their close time to that.

Good luck getting a table. They don’t take reservations unless you have a big party so if you’re looking to have a date night, look elsewhere. Waste of time. Waste of money. La Luna is better, cheaper and actual authentic Mexican food!

We had a very bad experience here just recently, it was my daughter’s birthday and we had 11 people who wanted to celebrate her birthday with her. So we chose the Depot and we wanted to sit out side on the deck. So we asked the waitress if we could move two tables together and she said yes but be careful they are very heavy, we had men with us so we moved the two tables together very gently as we seen that the bottom was not attached . The waitress even helped us move them… So as our evening went on the drink server came out and had a very rude attitude with us and after she went in the other staff started perking out the back patio door pointing at us and whispering to each other … So the manager came out or I think she was the manager , an older lady and she got mad at us for moving the tables we tried to explain to her that it was my daughters birthday and we all wanted to sit together and that the hostess even said it was ok to move the tables together… But she argued with my husband so my husband said he wasn’t goin to put up with rude , bad service and that we world go eat elsewhere so she said good!!! And she called us rude we have never had this kind of experience from the Depot ever… We always had a great time here until this day… Probably won’t ever go back after that…

4 stars. Definitely not a 3 star or a 5 star for that matter. Food was good. Not bad, but not great. Service was good. Portion size was smaller in comparison to other restaurants. Outdoor optional seating was perfect for us. Surprised that they don’t have pork as a meat option. Would definitely go back. Would recommend!

Surprisingly yummy Mexican cuisine in a remote part of Wyoming. The seafood enchiladas were tasty, and they have many margarita flavors. Guacamole was very fresh.

Chips were great. The floutas and chili verde chimichangas were bland and lacked all flavor. The rice was tasty but was too spicy for my kids. The mariscos chimichangas were worth eating and coming back for.
