We just happened to find this gem on a trip back home from PA. Some of the best pulled pork ever with unbelievably good sauces – from Carolina vinegar to mustard-based to spicy reds (they sell them too). I cut my pulled pork sandwich into fourths and tried them all. It’s hard to decided which one I liked best. The pork was very lean and moist – no mouthful of fat at this place. The slaw was really good on my sandwich, and I added a concoction of their sauces because that’s how I like it. I also had a side of their fried okra, which was very good. I didn’t have room for their “hand spun” milkshake but I hope to try it another time. This place is 3 hours from home, but I’m already begging to come back. I want to try their ribs, which are only on the menu on Thursdays and Fridays.

Visiting with my sister from Texas for the weekend and was treated to this local spot. We stopped in at lunchtime for her to get a slab of ribs and came back for dinner. The brisket was soft and not dry, buns were light and buttery, fried okra was to die for, and the baked beans were delicious. All in all a good meal, with great, attentive staff. Would definitely go back before leaving for Texas.

I’m upset I have been living near this place for years and have never gone until today. WONDERFUL FOOD!!! I actually went in for lunch to order Togo, ended up staying and eating inside. Told people have fantastic of an experience I had, so a group of us went back for dinner. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. I can’t wait to have a party big enough for them to cater it…. if you want a really really good fried chicken sandwich, look no further and the sweet pot fries are delicious. Their array of sauces gives you just about any flavor profile you can ask for. This is my new spot.. forever. Thank you Pete and Johanna

We visited Cherry Point Chicken & BBQ on a Wednesday mid afternoon. At that time of the day, the restaurant was not crowded and so it was very easy to find a table either inside or outside.

Not only was the BBQ outstanding, but they went the extra mile. I left my wallet at the counter and the owner and his wife kept it safe until I could come back and get it. They calmed my nerves and were so helpful. The sides were great too!

We loved the old Cherry Point. We’ve been here twice in the milkshakes and food are not the same. Also, this past time all the staff were fighting and it took over 30 minutes for fries and a milkshake.
