This place was worth it, the food was exceptionally good! I drove 40 minutes just to get to this place and I was pleasantly surprised. there was a fireplace & it felt nice and cozy, they play country music and the staff is friendly also the service is rather quick and the pricing is just right I ate all of my plate and left very full and satisfied. The only thing I found a little bothersome was how loud the people at the bar where they were yelling constantly and there was a lot of profanity so taking kids there is not a good idea.

Went twice. First time had the brisket sandwich. It wasn’t to bad but not overly impressive by any means. Second time got the platter with brisket and Memphis ribs. Honestly I smoke meat and this meat had no smoke flavor at all. The ribs were very tough and chewy certainly not fall off the bone as most ribs should be served. The brisket had no flavor to it whatsoever. No wonder they need three types of BBQ sauce to flavor everything up. There was no one in the place besides my party of three and we were there for over an hour. Not impressed and definitely not worth the prices. If they stepped their game up this would be a nice establishment.

I arrived here last Saturday morning with a group of about 20 bikers for breakfast. There were only a couple of young ladies on duty to wait tables and we obviously overwhelmed them and the kitchen help. Despite that, they were extremely accommodating and did their best to serve us. It took a while for everyone to be served, probably longer than a lot of people might expect to wait for breakfast, but the food was wonderful, eggs perfectly cooked, everything just as it should have been. I give them 2 thumbs up for handling the situation and providing a great breakfast for our entire group.

Went at 5:30 on a Saturday..wasn’t too busy. Ive seen it busy a few times before, but not today. The drinks were good, the service was great, and the food (burgers, ribs, prime rib, Mac n cheese, fries, etc ) all good. Prices are average. It’s a nice restaurant that we’ve been to about 4 times now in the past 5 years and it’s been consistently good.

We ordered as takeout. Beer batter shrimp were soaked with oil. There was actually a puddle in the bottom of container. The St. Louis ribs tasted like they had been in the fridge for awhile and were just reheated. Both dinners were inedible. It was a hot day and we were traveling with two small dogs. My wife remained outside with them. Tried to order some water in a bottle or disposable cup of some sort and they didn’t even have that. Will not be coming back any time soon.

Hilltop BBQ used be actually good about a few months back, but then they changed owners and that’s when it went downhill. I ordered there a couples times since and the chicken was inedible by that mean raw. The mac and cheese tasted like the microwavable one. In addition to the food being gross, the service was awful. I ordered to go and the bar tender was outside smoking a cigarette when my food was ready and getting cold. So please do yourself a favor and avoid this restaurant at all choice and go elsewhere. Hopefully, by writing this review the past owners of Hilltop will come back and the food will be decent once again.

Firstly we waited about 10 to 15 minutes before anybody realized that we were sitting at a table. The host / Hostess wasn’t there yet so we seated ourselves. The food wasn’t quite what we expected it was pretty bland and it came out lukewarm rather than hot. I wouldn’t say was terrible but it wasn’t really special. Seems like it’s the local Watering Hole. The place looks really nice and has a lot of potential but the management / wait staff leaves a lot to be desired.

Hilltop Barbecue has been a mediocre place to dine as it is so close to our house. However, I went there today and had the worst dining experience ever. I ordered a chili cup and the waitress came out with a bowl which would have been ok if not compounded with other issues. My meal was a chicken cutlet sandwich. The chicken was so overcooked that it taste like rubber. My son and I went there for a quick bite after his baseball practice and had to be home before 8:00p.m. If we didn’t have to be home I would have sent the chicken back to the kitchen for another. To top it off, the waitress took my credit card without me looking at the receipt and charged us for somebody elses meal double what our meal cost. She voided out the transaction however it will tie up my money for the next 3 days until I receive the credit. The 1 time that I trusted the waitress as she walked away from me I got burnt. This is the last time I will be visiting this food establishment.

Ordered 2 lunch specials. The chicken wraps without buffalo sauce. Order came soaked in sauce. Waitress who has only been working there for two days said the cook was having a bad day. The other only table occupied with 3 other people had received burnt hotdogs and the waitress ended up taking those off of the bill. lunch sucked. Waitress knew what we ordered and didn’t get. Paid but probably won’t be back.
