Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. Placed a mobile order this afternoon. Arrived and parked to pick up my order. All door were locked. Dinning area had several customers sitting and eating. There wasn’t anyone in the drive thru. Made my way to the speaker. A couple of employee’s were exiting from back door to take out trash. Took awhile for anyone to answer the speaker. When they finally did. The lady was rude and states, ” We aren’t taking orders right now. Try back later.” Customer service is very poor. I explained i had placed a mobile order. They told me to pull up. There were 2 staff by the window. So there was a total of 4 staff. So short staffing I don’t believe was the issues. Maybe if something had occurred maybe answer the speaker with proper customer service.

My husband and I have came here numerous times to eat and normally the food is fresh and the customer service is wonderful- tonight was different sadly. We waited 20 mins in the drive thru with only one car in front of us, got to the window waited another 10 mins for part of our order to be cooked which is fine that means fresh food…….food comes out we drive off not thinking anything would be wrong, I was wrong. I got rang up and charged for the wrong meal , was not an issue I just wanted to eat dinner and get home! I opened my husband’s food his catfish was hot, fries was cold and limp ( he’s not picky he ate it) I opened my food and EVERY. SINGLE. PIECE of food I was given was cold. Went back to drive thru one car yet again in front of us we waited 20 mins to speak to someone ( dining area was closed so had to wait in drive thru) once I explained I’d rather have my money back the lady told me we can not do refunds once you leave the window her DM has informed her that any order not immediately requested for a refund would not be refundable…..unsure what she thought I should’ve have done kool-aid mand myself through the dining area to address the issue instead of waiting on drive thru again, perhaps just walk up to the window with the other car there and address the issue? Bunch of silliness, not only am I still out $13 I’m without dinner tonight thanks Lela! ( employee at window)

We got the seafood feast, but the fish was undercooked or it was precooked and kept in a humid warmer. The crust was all soggy. It put me in mind of a Togo order kept in the styrofoam container too long. But we ate it right there in the dining room . The crab that came with it was okay but underwealmin. And my daughter’s chicken strips tasted terrible, she felt it wasn’t properly cooked. So beware if you go there. If you’re not afraid of culinary revenge ya could try to send things back. But to each their own. Hope ya don’t get the screen door biscuits after eating here.

The chicken was slimmy and looked like popcorn chicken. I personally have never had a problem with this location.i don’t know who is doing the cooking but they can’t cook unless my food was sitting under a hot light bc it was disgusting no crisp to it oh don’t get me started on my cheese Stix they were old I tried to pull them apart and nothing worst ever for 5 bucks definitely not worth it the only thing that was edible was the hush puppies oh also the side of fries haha 6 fries totally ridiculous the fish don’t get me started on the fish it was horrible I couldn’t even eat it soggy as ever

We have been waiting in line at the vehicle order area for 20 minutes and still behing 5 cars. There are 4 cars behind us. This is an insane time to h a very to wait, using gas and waiting to get to the order box. Awful!

This has got to be the slowest “fast” food place in dickson or any where for that matter. I waited in line for exactly 45 minutes and hadn’t even ordered yet. This locations staffing is a joke, get more people with some hustle like attitude and let’s go. This has been an ongoing issue here for some time now, I could honestly catch and clean and even batter and fry a fish in less time then it takes for them to get it out and cook it. This is just utterly ridiculous, if you’re craving fish, I wouldn’t stop here, I’d drive to Columbia.
