I’ve been to Mexico a month back. So I know what authentic Mexican foods taste like. To be honest, this is the first restaurant in US I’ve been to that serves foods close to authentic Mexican taste. The environment inside also gives a true Mexican vibe. Try their guacamole sauce which they make live infront of you.

Fantastic Mexican food with a stripped-back, simple menu in small-town Indiana. Serving sizes are enormous on the burritos and tortas. We all had leftovers to bring home for later. Make sure to try the horchata and fresh guacamole!

Had the pleasure of eating lunch here during the work day. The owner and his staff are amazing people and even better masters of their cuisine. They make the best fresh guacamole paired with the best tortilla chips, not to mention the tacos I ordered! I will definitely make the drive more often now that I’ve discovered this gem…and bring my family next time. I recommend Tacos El Amish in Harlan the next time you’re looking for a delicious meal- you will not be disappointed!

Authentic Mexican food! We eat here 2-3 times a week. Excellent staff. Immaculately clean. Family owned business. This is the best Mexican food you’ll ever taste.

AWESOME!!! Best tacos I tried in Fort Wayne. Their fresh guacamole is a must try, they prepare it in front of you and it’s delicious. Good environment and friendly staff. Would go again for sure!

Wonderful restaurant in Harlan! Such good tacos. Had the carne asada and chorizo. Delicious. The guacamole is incredible too. The people who work there are so warm and welcoming.

Guacamole was halfway decent. However, it lacked seasoning, and no gloves were used during prep. The food was very bland. The waitress didn’t return to refresh drinks or offer boxes. The host took a while to flag down because they were on their phone. We wanted sourcream in the chicken burrito. We ended up having to ask for sourcream again and were brought some on the side. Pre-made burrito? The chips were out of a bag, like you get at the grocery store. Runny sauces were brought out to the table without chips. Very little to no heat. This was accompanied by a plate of sliced cucumbers and radishes? The lengua was horrible-fatty and tough. When we went to pay, we were told there would be a 4% gratuity charged for paying with a card. I had read the reviews and was looking forward to a hidden gem. Maybe the takeout is better? We won’t be returning to find out.
