This spur of the moment dining decision turned out to be a 5 – Star Experience!!! The restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside, but when you walk in….you are greeted warmly and the place is clean looking / fresh smelling!! We were given time to look over then menu and our waitress was more than willing to give us extra insight on the dishes. The food was amazing (hot, fresh & delicious), the presentation was well thought out and the serving sizes were perfect. I ordered Oxtail Stew, Cabbage, Rice & Peas with a side of plantain. Everything was perfect, but my tummy would only allow me to finish the Oxtail!!! If I were not in a hotel, I would have ordered another entrée to take home!!! To top off an amazing dining experience, the chef came out to inquiry about our experience!!! Very nice touch…

It was good. The girl at the front desk was very welcoming. A little more cleanliness would be a plus for the restaurant. This means making sure the tables are wiped and clean from previous customers. Keep some napkins on each table .! Swipe mop. Other than that, the food was good !

Haitian Caribbean fusion kind of spot. Very clean and you can partake in a game of pool while you wait. The music and vibe was something I also appriciated. The service was very nice and the owners checked on us which I thought was cool. Ok let’s get to the food…i had the baked salmon (cooked great) with cabbage (delicious) with collard greens (wished it wasn’t canned) and sweet plantains (great but I’m use to it being sliced and not whole but it was still tasty). And please try their lemonade….(thank me later)!!! My friend had the curry chicken and rice with mac and cheese…

This is a decent Haitian restaurant. The staff was very friendly, and the restaurant is clean. I went in a Friday at 6 and it wasn’t busy at all. As a frequent Haitian restaurant customer, I was very impressed by the speed my order was done. I placed my order, was told 20 minutes, and they called me at 30 minutes to let me know my food was ready (they most like had it done by the time they said and were making sure I was still coming to get my food)! This is huge! I’m used to ordering my food, getting to the restaurant, and still having to wait another 15-20 minutes! I also like that you have the option to get the regular fried plantains, or the ripe sweet plantains. Usually it’s just one option. The rice and beans are not really the classic ones you get at other places but was decent. They only serve Legume on Saturdays is what I was told so maybe I’ll try that another time if I’m visiting again. They didn’t have sos pwa (a bean sauce) for their white rice when I went (not sure if that is a regular thing or just when I went). They also didn’t have tasso kabrit (fried goat). So I purchased the stewed goat since I don’t do pork even though I really wanted some fried food. It tasted pretty good. They added just the right amount of spice to it. They give a lot more meat than rice which was nice for a change. Definitely a nice restaurant with areas for improvement. Check them out if you are craving Caribbean food!

The oxtail stew does not come with cabbage, only rice and two fried plantains, so I was a little disappointed. The portion was sufficient. I also ordered the arka and pikliz. I did not like them but other patrons might. The oxtail stew was very flavorful. I would highly recommend it. In fact, it was probably the best I have had. This is coming from someone who has been to a handful of Caribbean restaurants in Jacksonville and out-of-state.
