Absolutely excellent!! Great food, the staff are so kind and gracious. I enjoyed the sampler, while the staff told me the history of the property and explained the name. If you have time on a Thursday Friday or Saturday pop on in, eat and visit.

I had no idea this place was open. I seem to pass by on the closed days. I finally stopped in and after having the rib plate, I will definitely be back. Great BBQ and service. I highly recommend this place. They are only open Thursday thru Saturday.

Best family run BBQ joint this side of the Mississippi. BoBo has been making food here the last 30+ years and the location looks like it could tell some amazing stories. The ribs fall off the bone and the baked macaroni and cheese is the best I have had. Don’t let the drive or weathered building stop you! Make sure you check your times because you don’t want to miss it when you’re nearby and they are limited right now. Honestly the best thing is the people you will meet while you’re there, friendly and welcoming like a long lost family or friend.

Absolutely delicious! Bobo and his team were warm and welcoming, and the food is even better! He spoke to us about how Shank Cat’s came to be – this bbq spot is housed in an old school house on property owned by his grandma “Shank Cat” and he named the restaurant after her! I will come back and eat here every time I’m in town!

Dine in this 100 yr old schoolhouse for the friendly atmosphere and lively conversations. Then, as a side attraction, enjoy their bar-b- que dinners. The sign says ” no teeth required” and they mean it.
