Second time here. First time a long time ago. We walked into Mama Lou’s and immediately greeted by the most horrible smell. The same thing happened the first time we came here. I gave them another chance. thought it might have been better. Smelled like mouth balls to my husband. So pungent. We told the hostess we were canceling our drink order and walked out. Please take care of this problem.

We arrived at opening at 10:30 am. and learned it was a buffet. The setting is an old house, and the staff were pleasant enough. Unfortunately, everything was just OK and seemed over cooked . The greens were good, but the fried chicken, fried okra, turkey, and rib roast were dry. I wouldn’t say I would never eat there again, but nothing really stood out to make me want to go back.

Love the home-cooked southern comfort food buffet. Excellent price for all that you get! And the people are just wonderful, so friendly and helpful. I haven’t had Southern iced sweet tea in so long, fabulous! Thank you! I highly recommend a visit to Mama Lou’s Restaurant! 🙂
