Came to Norfolk to work a season at an Inn. This pub is in walking distance and always on par. Service rocks and food never misses. Lindsey was amazing and has become a great source of friendship, as have Cassie, Monique, and Tina. Happy to call them family. I will be sad to leave. They’ve definitely left an indelible impression on my heart. Can’t wait to come back!

Great spot to grab breakfast or a sandwich for lunch. Lots of options and specials. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There is also a gift shop inside with Norfolk-themed tchotchkes.

I would have given this a more graceful review until the lady at the bar came to bring our food and very rudely called my husband out for sending his drink back because it tasted like water, she decided to argue the vodka has no flavor and left the table feeling super uncomfortable. I’m a bartender myself, tried the drink and it was flat out a bad drink. None of the other drinks other than the espresso martinis were good. I’m not sure if she was trying to make us feel better, but she was totally unprofessional and should have just asked if the drink my husband had now was better, it wasn’t, but at that point after seeing how the situation would be handled, no one said a thing after that. Your servers also have no tact, nor do they know how to keep a table running smoothly. Our server was on his phone rather than checking on us and taking timely orders. You’re only saving grace was your host who was bringing our drinks for the server?… I would have never even wrote a review, but again, your Bartender was unprofessional and makes, very simple drinks, not well.

Just spent $61 on a meal that only had 1 Good Item. That was the fish & chips. The nachos were just plain nasty and the turkey racheal was tasteless and thrown together. Very Dissatisfied and What a Waste Of Money.

Excellent Reuben. The marbled rye was the best part. Nice stack of quality corned beef. The service was very good and the entire staff were into their gig. Cool bar ambiance and a nice local crowd. Great beer selection also.

We were part of second wave of lunch time crowd. They breaking in a new bartender and our drinks were slow to arrive. With a mussels app bill was sixty two dollars. A bit pricey but it is Norfolk!

Dinner at the Wood Creek Bar and Grill turned out to be an outstanding dining experience. Fine food and warm hospitality make for an outstanding combination on a cold night, especially in a town as beautiful as Norfolk, Connecticut. We made our way through the crowd in the bar area, to be greeted by friendly waitstaff and our hostess/owner Heidi. The food was really wonderful; my girlfriend ordered the salmon, which the chef happily cooked to order, and I ordered the seafood over linguine, which was both delicious and so large we took it home and I enjoyed it for two more nights. We were so full we decided to skip dessert, although we have our eye on the Haystack Mountain Sundae, a local landmark that is visible from the large free parking area downtown. Next time! Consider Wood Creek Bar and Grill highly recommended.
