Always a good place to eat breakfast or lunch. They have the nicest people that will take your order and deliver your food right to your table. I have been going there all my life I am 59 years old and I will go until they close the place.

No frills, no nonsense breakfast place with great food and fresh coffee. Order at the counter then join a steady stream of locals in the basic dining area. Efficient, busy, and simple.

Love the food, love the staff, love the environment. Only reason its 4 instead of 5 is the breakfast menu is too limited. I really wish they would add omelets (they will make a cheese omelet if you ask) with a variety of veggies, maybe some biscuits and gravy too. Either way, it is a great local restaurant and the food they serve is always great.

I loved the home-style country fare, but I would have benefitted from knowing what meats were available, and what kind of sausage.

Nice little place in town to get a good breakfast. Get there early because they get packed quick and it’s a small building.

Reading these reviews I was looking forward to enjoying “the best homemade biscuits”…. blah blah. And Family environment? Sure if you’re a local. Stopped in at 1030 am on a Monday morning on the way to Chapel Hill. Stood in front of the counter and waited to be greeted. A man had to yell to the woman to come take my order and when she walked up she immediately says, “We’re out of biscuits” ok that fine. “We’re out of grits too” – there just went 50% of breakfast lol. The eggs looked more like imitation than real. I am not sure because I just decided no biscuit no grits… no breakfast for me! Had a dry boring BLT(no sides for sandwiches. Then I’m told we get our own drinks and pay when done. Drinks were a better selection than there was food! Prices are reasonable- CASH ONLY! Paying after we ate was as difficult as ordering… sigh. Out of staple ingredients with a grocery store right next door…. classic!
