I decided to eat at this restaurant inside the Weston Hotel in Itasca, Illinois after the end of the Chicagopex trade show because the weather was getting cold and windy, and I wanted to have something to eat before I took my 10:20 flight from Midway Airport. I ordered the French onion soup to start on the waitress’s recommendation. It was very hearty and rich with the baked cheese layer on top. I then ate an Illinois Farm Salad with grilled chicken added. The salad was built on field greens, tomatoes, walnuts, goat cheese, dried cranberries and a layer of green apple slivers. The dressing was a delicious pomegranate vinaigrette. The salad was ample enough for dinner, but did not make be uncomfortable to fly. Service was very good. I did feel I paid hotel prices for the meal, the bill coming to about $30. See

Bite size pieces fish like chicken nuggets and fries warm. Did not like it. Yikes! First and last.

I would have given 5 stars if the service was good. Food was amazing. Sweet chili salmon…. amazing. I sat for forever at a table (no waiter ever served me) before the bartender finally came and took my order.

Quesadilla was great! The salsa was a nice balance against the bit of kick in the dressing of the quesadilla

Great place to go locally for a late night drink. Good food and service too. Most locals don’t come here, only travelers, giving the place an exclusive feel.

First night, asked for a gluten free menu. Waiter brought me a healthy choices menu and ASSURED me that everything was GF and also delicious. He was wrong on both accounts.

Good quality and menu selection. Chicken quesadilla was great (next time I’ll know to ask for no cilantro and no onion) with a nice spicy sour cream drizzle the She Crab soup was also nice. The chille had a perfect flavor but no beans or tomato chunks, and very salted. I noticed that quite a few places have cut down on the salt too much, at times almost completely. That doesn’t work so well sometimes but in the soup it’s easy to add salt.

The seafood crepes, short rib tacos and chicken quesadilla are super creative and absolutely delicious. Everything is sooo tasty. Changed my mind about buffalo cauliflower! The atmosphere is impressive and inviting. The staff absolutely delightful and attentive. Management and chef should be very proud of their work. Would recommend to the Westin guests and non-guests alike. This is a hidden gem for Itasca, Wood Dale, Elk Grove and nearby residents for sure! Being off of 290/390, do yourself a favor and go try anything off of the menu you have a taste for. Could eat there everyday for he rest of my life! What an elegant treat.

Terrible bar tending – who doesn’t use bitters in a $20 old fashioned? Food arrived over-cooked. Asked for a wine list – never was asked for a wine order so I finished food w/ water.
