Savor & Savvy
The new Thursday Ladies Night can’t be beat! You are greeted with a glass of free champagne and then you choose from a great menu of specials that run 5pm-9pm. My friend went last week and brought me and her mom this week. Her fellow friend that was with her last week returned as well bringing out of town guests. Service was great, appetizers were tasty and very generous for the price point. There might only be 4 $5 drinks on the menu but they didn’t skimp in alcohol and tasted fantastic! The new, sweet chef greeted us and checked on our table multiple times. You can tell they want to make this a success! Kudos to them!!

Recently had family in town from Illinois and they wanted the waterfront dining experience! They were at Pop’s Sunset Grill the night before so I recommended this new restaurant! Everything was perfect!! Location, atmosphere and dining experience was amazing! We were a party of six and we were seated at a high top on the third floor. Menu had a bit of everything and everyone found something quickly to order. Most all got a pasta dish and the servings were large! I usually get the fish and chips. My fish could have been a little more crispy, but that is my preference. All in all, our out of town family was very impressed with the whole experience!

I came here for dinner with a few people for dinner during the week. We were able to get a table right away by the window inside. The views are pretty but it does get hot and the sun gets on your eyes at sunset. I wish they had blinds or something to block the sun so it makes sitting by the window more enjoyable. I started off with the Espresso Martini but didn’t care for the taste (might have been the simple syrup). I also ordered the blackened Snapper and wasn’t disappointed. The Blueberry Vodkito was refreshing and more enjoyable than the Espresso Martini. Dinner ended with a slice of key lime pie, which was the perfect combination of tart and sweet. The waitress was very nice.

Love the view when you get outside dining. Not our first time here, been here many times for lunch. First time for dinner and we had a reservation, seated right away. Still have yet to dine on the 3rd level, not sure how you get that seat. Our waitress last night was doing a final night of training for a returning college student but we have to admit over all our service was really less than stellar. Long gaps with no contact, so hopefully the college student didn’t use our experience to provide service when he goes solo. My husband had the grouper, his cheddar mashed potatoes were the perfect shape of the scoop and must have been plated too soon as they were completely cold. I had the crab cakes, they were ok, felt too minced up, no chunks of crab so I don’t recommend them. The 4 stars was for the drinks, view and company of friends and past lunches. Dinner and the service was a 3. As for our service, they limited seating and had lots of empty tables so still not sure why the service was less than stellar.

We concur with other 5-star reviews. Our group said each of their orders: grilled grouper, shrimp scampi & fish & chips was delicious. The sunset view from the second floor balcony was wonderful. We were seated quickly but not rushed through a relaxing evening of drinks and dinner. We’ll certainly be back. Mike K.

Great food, big portions. Got the Shrimp Po Boy and Lobster Roll, both with Parmesan truffle fries. Excellent. Andrew was our server and did an exceptional job.

Drinks and atmosphere are great! Food was average. Grilled grouper was $29, the $11 margarita was better!

We were a party of 5 and arrived on Friday early evening. We headed upstairs and were seated inside by the large windows with less than a 5 minute wait. We still had a view of the water and sunset. There is an outdoor balcony with additional tables with even more spectacular views. We ordered various plates, drinks and appetizers and the service was great. All the food was cooked to order and well presented with lots of flavor. The whole vibe at The Point is best described as “Jimmy Buffett” style, which perfectly matches the waterside location. I was surprised to learn that the property is spread out with several buildings and a dock/pier. After the dinner we walked down downstairs outside to the pier to watch the sunset and it was amazing. There was live music in the backyard of the property and a tiki bar as well. The whole atmosphere was very relaxing and tropical. We enjoyed the dinner and outside amenities and just took in all the scenery. The evening could not have been better and great memories were made…
