One word: PHENOMENAL. My husband and I were lucky enough to get into this amazing establishment because our friends couldn’t make their reservation (their loss, our gain!). This restaurant is in the heart of Denton and if you blink, you’ll miss the tiny blue house; once you walk into the beautifully adorned dining room, you won’t want to leave the aromatic, charming atmosphere. To say the food is incredible is an absolute understatement; everything is handmade, handpicked, and hand-delivered with love, down to the very last ingredient. The menu changes on a daily basis, so, sadly, don’t get too attached to your favorites!

We’ve been waiting months for the chance to visit this restaurant and we were very lucky to snag a patio seat after randomly checking one night! The standout was the service – our waitress was attentive, friendly, and 100% knowledgeable about the menu. She offered to walk us through the entire “Premi” part of the menu and explained each dish in detail. Can’t remember her name (tall, dark hair in a ponytail) but whoever she was, she was perfect!

This is the definition of “if you know you know”. The service was amazing. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the dishes and the wines. He was very helpful is us choosing what to get, which was hard because we wanted it all. It’s a very small restaurant, and the manager was great about reminding a table of that when they were almost yelling across their table.

Literal perfection. Osteria il Muro is everything you want in a restaurant. A constantly changing menu with a variety of delicious and unique options. A cozy, intimate setting with that isn’t stuffy and maintains approachability. The dining experience is curated with phenomenal service that is perfectly paced. The staff is knowledgeable, professional but friendly and welcoming at the same time. Osteria il Muro is perfect.

The service and meal were amazing. Our waitress walked us through every dish on the menu with great detail to where we felt confident that we could make our meal choices with ease. Her service was personable and informative. The food itself was out of this world. Both bold and delicate flavors in every dish made our experience unforgettable. I’m usually a dedicated loophole burger guy on Wednesday nights but last night was a fun change. Osteria is a tiny place with maybe 10 table tops at most with a few outside tables. But the food was off the charts. Our waitress was extremely patient with us and detailed every single item in the menu. She recommended a wonderful red wine for dinner after we said what we were in the mood for. I wish I had all the words to describe the food. But first off hold on eating a ton of that bread. It’s delicious but it may stop you from getting dessert at the end. We picked out two appetizers since we had a hard time choosing but shared. I’m almost stuffed at this point. Then comes the main course. Beautiful! So tasty! Finish off the bottle of wine and I’m done. No more room and have lunch for tomorrow. I’d like to come back for a special event so I can squeeze in the dessert next time.

This, overall, was probably one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. The server was such a sweetheart and translated everything on the menu (including the wines!) and was great at recommending items on the menu. The menu is a bit hard to read for the layperson, but that’s what the server is for! I had a mushroom pasta and my boyfriend tried the special of the night (it was a short rib dish). Now, I’m not exaggerating when I say this was the best food I’ve had at a restaurant. Ever. Not just in Denton, but ever. The whole experience was phenomenal and I will absolutely be going again. My sister was lucky enough to get a reservation in December for her birthday at my insistence. If you’re persistent and manage to get a reservation, you WILL NOT be disappointed.

I have been lucky enough to come here a couple of times, and every time I’m incredibly satisfied with the attention to quality this amazing staff puts into every plate. I have brought my family and friends, and everyone leaves very happy. I’m glad that we have such a special place here in Denton, and can’t wait for my next visit.
