Today I decided to try the IHOP in Jane Lew. Not sure if I would follow all of the previous reviews on the restaurant that I have seen online. They have only been open for about a month, but I had no issue with my service at the restaurant, nor on the food as well, I decided to try the country fried steak and eggs with breakfast potatoes. I forgot it came with pancakes, and it was too much to eat. Kathy, my waitress was very pleasant and could not have asked for a more receptive waitress. I hope the success of this IHOP continues in Jane Lew.

Just had breakfast there. I was okay with the ridiculously long wait (there was only one other table there when we arrived). I didn’t mind when my food finally arrived cold. I was even okay when the server messed up my bill, accidents happen, but I was not okay with her attitude towards me and shushing me when I said anything. I was patient and polite, she is rude and I will not be back because of her.

We stopped here while traveling. My husband ordered a sandwich and I ordered one of the eggs Benedict meals. It took close to 25 minutes for the food to arrive. My husband’s sandwich was okay, but my eggs were ice cold and hard cooked. When the waitress came to check I told her the problem. She took the meal back to have it redone. It took another 12 minutes and this time the eggs were drowning in hollandaise sauce. The eggs were slightly overcooked but there was some runny yolk. Overall it was not a good meal. I then went to use the ladies room and the cleanliness was terrible. I told the waitress about the ladies room and she told the manager.

Went back today and was served by Lori. Again the food looked like it could be on one of their commercials and I was in and out very quickly. Went in about 7:15. A party of 8 entered at the same time as me. They had all their orders minutes after I received mine. I would say they’ve worked out any kinks they had during their first month of business. For some reason I couldn’t get in to edit my original review.

I’ve been to 2 other IHOP ‘s in WV, they sucked, BUT, this IHOP in Jane Lew, WV, is AWESOME!! The food was the best food I’ve ever had at an IHOP. It was way better than Bob Evans and most restaurants around here.

Stopped in at 7:00 AM. Food came out looking just like the pictures on the menu, and tasted just as good. Service was very fast and friendly. Kathy (I think, I’m due new glasses) was excellent. I will certainly be back.

Waited 10 minutes until we finally got seated. After setting for 15 minutes without our drink orders being taken we decided to leave. As we were leaving there was 10+ employees standing out back smoking and joking. Was glad to see something come to this area but with lazy staff I’ll be glad to see it leave. Save yourself time and go down the road to lightburns where you are seated and served in minutes.

WORSE customer service! 3 young women with the worst attitude. Asked for food to go, my spouse went in to get it & came back with just the food, I went back for utensils, condiments & napkins & they were upset I went back for that. Came back to eat my food and got wrong items. Food taste horrible. You are better off getting snacks from the gas station. We threw the food in the trash. Cheeseburger didn’t have any of the vegetables AND the meat was not cooked all the way! Sucks when you are traveling and don’t have time to go back to say something!

service was fast and food was verry good and fresh…this is hands down the best ihop i have ever eaten at…my waitress was a lady named Makenna and she was AWSOME..she was verry helpfull,attentive and was on top of her game bc of her and the great cooks this has been an absolute great experience
