Piastra came highly recommended by the local cake shop. Welp, it didn’t really hit the mark for being the best restaurant in the square!

Our first time here, and I quickly decided this is my new favorite Italian restaurant. A cozy atmosphere on Marietta square. Sit in a window seat for two and enjoy people watching while dining. The servers are very helpful and make you feel like you are an old friend coming to dinner. The owner circulated and checked if we enjoyed everything. The food was absolutely amazing. Traditional Italian fare with an updated twist. Married to a first generation Italian from NYC…we are always looking for that place that takes us back to our younger days when we would grab a bite in Little Italy. This filled that spot in our hearts. The owners have nailed it.

What I like the most about this place is their bread. Any bread that they serve is very good, I was impressed. I was here for dinner and the amount of food they serve is a lot, too.

Food is amazing but the atmosphere kind of ruins it… Pop music playing in a high end Italian restaurant? Its more of a smooth jazz setting rather than a Taylor Swift setting. Probably won’t be back for this reason.

Service and atmosphere were decent, but the food was only “okay”. We had to reject one of our appetizers since it came out cold. Our server was kind enough to comp it. My dish was pretty good. The pizzas that our group ordered weren’t particularly good. The woman checking people in the front seemed like she didn’t want to be there.

How this place has remained somewhat of a secret (still need reservations but don’t have to wait hours for a table) is beyond me. The staff are attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The chef:where do I even begin? He comes out to visit and speak with tables, and his creations are inventive and taste PHENOMENAL. My husband and I love food! We grow food, we cook food that tastes good and know quite a bit about flavor profiles and incredible ingredients…so going out to dinner can often leave us a bit disappointed and feeling like “we could’ve done better at home and saved $$$.” But not at Piastra. The pricing is super reasonable (less than $150 last night for a starter, two entrees, dessert and cocktails)! The handmade raviolis are always amazing and the pork belly mussels are muuuahhhh!! Don’t miss this spot!

We went here for the gluten free options. It was good. Not sure how but the portion really that big but for some reason we were all full. I think the Nonna in the bank put some juju on it. Service was great. I would be perfectly fine going back

The place is adorable, the server was amazing, very attentive and super nice, wine was wonderful, lots of selections and they have flights, the food I tried (Chicken francese and then Chicken Marsala) was not good. Bland, no flavor, the server insisted to take it back, so I tried the second and it was basically the same thing just with mushrooms, she insisted that she take it back and comped my whole check, which was extremely nice of them since I did not expect them to. The bread they gave us was very delicious and soft. I would definitely give them a second chance and come back.
