The quality of the food has changed within the last year it does not taste the same it was terrible the last time I went and they don’t fill the bowl up all the way. The owner is a dirtbag he is married and will try to throw himself on you! Attended a Friday a few months ago he sits by the bathroom as well and try’s to enter the bathroom when girls are in there such a creep please be careful at this place!

I have been to the African Palace several times with my family and friends. The food is always amazing. The fish, jollof rice, egusi, the chicken curry and asun (very spicy goat pepper soup) are all DELICIOUS and SO TASTY!!! The flavors on each dish are FANTASTIC!!! The asun is a WONDERFUL SPICY dish!!! The curry is a PERFECT

African Palace definitely has great quality food. However, the price to portion ratio is why I can’t give this beautiful establishment 5 stars. The portions are just too small. But I’ll be back because they do have the best West African food in the city.

Our first time having African food. The waitress helped us make our choices by explaining what things were and making suggestions after asking us a few questions. The food was served in to go boxes, which was a little unusual since we were dining in, but made it easy to take our leftovers home. The Jollof rice was so good! The jerk chicken and mixed meat had great flavors, but seemed a little over cooked and dry. Otherwise a great meal and interesting experience.

Customer service was truly personably immaculate. The food was exquisite. I need a nap now. The only thing is that the restaurant needs is an update otherwise, I can’t complain about the food, portions, or service. Drastic improvement since I last vowed not to go back but my friend convinced me to give it another try and I am glad I did. I enjoyed my lunch unfortunately I don’t have energy for the nightlife anymore (old age).

The food is decent but the portion sizes are ridiculous for the price. I know we’re facing inflation but this last time I visited, I left feeling like I got bamboozled. It was mostly because of a miscommunication/misunderstanding of what I wanted vs what I got….. The wait time was also a bummer. African Palace has been a favorite spot of mine for years but I just don’t have consistently good experiences with the food or service like I used to.

The Egusi was pretty good. I had chicken stew added to it. If you love potatoes, then the FuFu is for you. The price was a little ridiculous for the small amount of food that was given

So I’m big on African food coming from the twins city. So I was very disappointed at the food I received. I don’t even know what type of rice this is, maybe jasmine. It’s not balsamic. I wanted goat and rice and not the goat I got . This goat came in stew form in a red sauce I have never seen. Normally my goat comes with green sauce to the side. They had red sauce and not green sauce. I ain’t get a banana with my meal , miss that. I guess this goat gose with Foo Foo and not the rice I got. They didn’t have cassava leaves a rice or none of the other food that I love. At best this is a nice American take on African cuisine. Also the portion size is very small for the amount that you pay and the food isn’t close to the original.
