From the lemon poppyseed muffins to the friendly customer service and everything in between – The Grind never disappoints! The food is always fresh and delicious and the coffee is even better. I always recommend this place and bring family and friends for their first experience and they always leave satisfied as well. I now live in the Fargo area but this is still hands down my FAVORITE COFFEE SHOP EVER!! I’m always trying to make the trip just for the experience at this shop. The specialty drinks are always put together so well and are delicious! Also can’t go wrong with their panini pressed breakfast sandwich.

I worked as a resident engineer on a fiber optics project in Wilmot, SD for the last four months. I never expected to find such a charming and modern cafe in the middle of nowhere, SD! I’m from Nashville, TN, so I take having dining options for granted. The staff is super friendly, and they made the long days on the project seem not so long. The food and coffee are fantastic and there are many options. If you’re spending time at Big Stone Lake, or just passing through the area, be sure to stop in.

All I can say is wow. I previously worked at a high caliber specialty coffee shop and have extremely high standards for coffee. I got a Lotus drink (highly recommend trying this), a creme brulee latte, medium roast drip coffee, and a roast beef panini with chips and salsa. Everything was really good, but the Lotus drink and the latte were definitely highlights. This is arguably one of the best coffee shops in South Dakota and certainly a hidden gem. The owner, Ashley, is also very nice and the staff are really helpful. Will absolutely be visiting again when I’m in the area.
