Went with a large group, we had reservations. They had it all set up for us by time we got there. We all sat down and they took our orders. The service was great, there were two waitresses taking care of us and they got our food out very quickly, I was very impressed. I had walleye, deep fried, with slaw and baked beans. The The walleye was fresh and flaky and tender, 3 large pieces for $11. The baked beans were about like most baked beans in restaurants, not much more than pork and beans out of a can, but they did have some smoky flavor, reminded me of Bushes baked beans out of the can. The slaw was cream based slaw, not my favorite and it was a little too creamy, but not bad. The tartar sauce was not much more than Miracle Whip with a little bit of sweet relish. My wife ordered lemon pepper catfish, grilled. It was very tasty and flaky she also had Baked potato and a side salad which was nothing more than a bowl of lettuce with a little cup of dice tomatoes, not much. Overall we all had fun and everyone said what they ordered was good.

A friend and I stopped in for lunch while we were in Nobel. We both had the special which was fried chicken. It came with mashed potatoes, gravy and the vegetable of the day which happened to be corn. It was very good. My only criticism is that the gravy was brown gravy. To me, when you serve mashed potatoes and gravy with chicken, the gravy should be white.

I like it. It’s a small town restaurant but food is good and staff is very kind, I’ve never had a bad experience here. I recommend catfish or walleye and baked beans. Simple but good.

The service needs to be better The last time I was there the food was undercooked really wasn’t the best. I just hope they get better chefs and they need to work on the staff

I must disagree with your 4.5 star rating. Why? Well because Kevin and the girls at the Tin Cup easily deserve a solid ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ hands down.

I have been to the Tin Cup many times before and I have never been disappointed… and I recommend the Walleye dinner as well as the Catfish…also on Thursdays they have a Taco Salad Special that’s worth the Trip, too… servings are generous and well worth any wait you might have to endure before you are waited on and served.
