Delicious authentic Mexican food!!! It’s crazy that I have lived in the Fremont area for several years and not once visited this restaurant. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, this will be your new favorite spot. My hubby and I woke up on a Sunday wanting menudo, so I searched nearby places and Carmelita’s came up first, after reading the great reviews we decided to go here. Little did we know that we were going to end up finding menudo that tasted like home, with options of adding tendon, pata, and nervio. Then to top it off, handmade tortillas!! The pricing is fair and the ambiance is the perfect setting to enjoy your food.

I typically don’t go for Mexican food, so I was unsure what to get. What drew me in were the Quesabirrias. One bite and well …. I knew I had to come back some day (soon). The chicken and beef burrito supremo was also delicious. Call me a convert to Mexican food. Come check this place out!

It is a quiet and clean place. The food is delicious and it tastes very fresh. They also give you hand-made tortillas with soup or menudo. It gets busy on Saturdays and Sundays. They have a bathroom, and it has wheelchair access, too. It has kids’ menue. I recommend the chiken soup, the menudo no granos, and the chilaquiles. Recommend it 100% the parking lot is small.

Chips and salsa were very good. Regular burrito with carnitas, beans, rice and cheese was not good. Burrito size was medium. Entirely too much rice and beans. The carnitas was quite bland which was surprising. Really wanted to like this place. Didn’t even finish my burrito, tired of all that rice. Would I eat here again? No

Our favorite local Mexican place! Try the quesabirria tacos. 3 is enough for me. They’re so good!! If you dine in, you get yummy chips and salsa. Burritos supremos, special flour quesadillas, and nachos are all delicious, too. Everything is great there!

I checked out the menu ahead of coming and found the prices to be very reasonable. Once I saw the Chille Relleno Burrito on the menu I decided right away on what I wanted. This burrito was so good I came back again the next day and ordered another. I made sure to get a picture this time.
