Awesome place for small bites of grilled meats. Chicken heart? , yes. Grilled beef?, yes. Has a variety of grilled meat and vegetables and the price is reasonable. The calamari salad was very tasty and a descent size for 2 people. After about 3-4 plates of grilled meat everything started tasting salty afterwards. This was our first time so my wife and I went overboard with the meat. Be warned that this place is not kids friendly and very small. I would not take my 2 kids here. Very limited table seatings, as we both sat at the bar.

Speechless… Just “mmmmm” when you take your first bite of noodles or first sip of broth. A huge rush of nostalgia and a “just like how I remember it”. I loved this place years ago in college and so thankful it’s still here and still the same. The noodles (highly recommend getting it firm) have such a great texture and the broth is every so flavorful but clean. Not too fatty, savory, or oily.

A way different experiment from other ramen places. You sit in and the cooks are in front of you, they serve you promptly and they create a nice friendly environment. The ramen is great, the sides are amazing, and you can get ramen refill for an extra dollar.

Great food if you’re in the mood for something unique. Almost everything is good here. From the beef tongue to the chicken gizzard. I love it all. Favorite items by far are the two items wrapped in bacon, the cherry tomatoes and the quail eggs. Gotta give it up for the meatballs and chicken skin too. Oh man, did I mention special chicken heart too? You will not be disappointed.

We dined on the side without the Ramen, but all the skewers dishes we had were amazing!! Especially the Kobe beef skewers, insanely good!! But we tried a few other dishes like the shrimp tempura, cream cheese egg rolls, the rice balls, the soft crab salad and everything was delicious!!! The staff was very cordial and friendly, I highly recommend this place. Next time I’ll be going to the ramen side for sure to try what they’ve got.

I like the vibe in this restaurant, it’s very unique, very Japanese. All dishes were very good, go best with alcohol! Must get the fried oysters, best dish so far. Service is fast and staffs are friendly. Only open from 6 PM.

Shin Sen Gumi has two main yakitori locations. This location features counter top seating, and also some floor seats where you can get comfortable and take off your shoes. At the counter, you can see them grilling away at the skewers on a long charcoal grill. You can order as you go and get a wide assortment of tasty meats and grilled dishes, alongside other japanese dishes that you may find in an izakaya.
