So, my 9yr old and I were walking around in downtown Vicksburg, MS and he, of course, was hungry as usual. With the name of the restaurant being Cocktails 101, I was hesitant to take my 9 yr old in there, but they were having a special on wings.. “Wednesday wings;” we decided to give it a try. There was only one customer at the bar when we entered and I didn’t know if it was because of the quality of the food and service or because it was a Wednesday evening… So, right off, I noticed the items on the menu were a bit pricey for my tastes! But, we were here and we had sat down so we were at the point of no return!! The food is pretty good. My son said, ” Mom you ought to go into the restaurant business because this tastes exactly like your food!” I don’t know about you, but if I’m going to pay an arm and a leg for a meal, I want it to taste better than the meals I normally cook! So, I thought some items on the menu were a bit overpriced, but the food was good. The service was great because we were the only people eating in the restaurant. I’m not sure how you can mess that up. Of course we got all the attention of our server, and that was nice. The atmosphere was really laid-back and a few locals drifted in and sat at the bar. It was very quaint and clean. It ended up being a really nice time and my son decided that we would come back to Cocktails 101 at least once a month so we could enjoy a nice meal together in a fun, upscale environment.

Hey all I have to say the Restaurant Cocktails 101 is a hidden gem this place is top notch from the Four wisemen whiskey drink and the Washington Apple drink .Now for the meal was outstanding the Chicken Alfredo with large portions was wonderful My Wife had the 12oz ribeye steak with bake potatoes and asparagus it was very tender and delicious you will enjoy a very good meal and great Atmosphere

This place has a welcoming relaxed atmosphere with a simple and straightforward menu (very refreshing). Employees are very friendly and very helpful. My food was prepared to perfection and I highly recommend the steak, the seafood pasta is amazing so I don’t think that you’ll be disappointed. Prices aren’t cheap but they aren’t wallet or purse busting either and with the quality and quantity of the food worth every dollar.

Looked interesting from the outside. Had a nice contemporary decor with comfortable furnishings. Staff was friendly. I had Jack on the rocks and they used whiskey ice which was a nice touch. I also had the fried green tomatoes which were ok. They were not cut and breaded on site and the attempt to dress them with crawfish tails and a cream sauce, while noble, killed the taste of the tomato. Service was ok but not worthy of the price. Overall, the experience was nice but not notable. Double Jack, fried green tomatoes and tip was $42.

This place is our favorite. The staff is friendly, the service is excellent, the food is delicious, and the drinks speak for themselves. They have a wide selection of drinks that fits everyone’s taste. The manager, Jonathan, can fix any drink you like. Highly recommended, especially for a date night out.

This place is very nice! Love the space, the setup, the furniture, the decor, the drinks, the music. Ran into several people I know but hadn’t seen in quite some time, and this was a great place to run into them. I guess I’ll eat nice time I go. Will definitely be back next time I’m in town.

Upscale prices without the upscale food or service. Their idea of a ‘loaded’ baked potato? A baked potato with 3 to‐go condiment cups with: a smear of butter, a dab of sour cream and a blend of shredded mystery cheeses. I could go on, but this pretty much exemplifies the whole dining experience there. The saddest thing though, probably the best place in Vicksburg.

The food was very good, the service could have been a bit faster considering when we were there only two couples were in the building, but much of D/T Vicksburg seemed a bit dead and run down.
