Decor is great and hard to miss even just walking by. Fun menu with variety of flavors you normally would not think about together. Loved the layered and stuffed tortillas, I mean seriously, wow!! Everything I ordered was delicious – I made the el pastor bowl into a taco w stoner shell, the el vegano and el jefe loco tacos. Yummy seasonal sugar watermelon Margarita-thingy.

They made us some of the best tacos we’ve ever had! The stuffed shells were different and super yummy. We also ordered bloody Mary’s and they were phenomenal! Our server was extremely helpful and so friendly and the environment was unique and fun.

Stopped in after eating elsewhere to have a couple drinks because Barrio was one of the only places still open. Strange that a tourist city like Traverse City was basically shut down by 9 pm. Luckily we did because the drinks were good and the service was great. We ended up having chips and salsa/queso as well because we liked the place so much and they didn’t disappoint. We will definitely stop in again for food the next time we’re in the area. The decor in the picture wraps around the whole restaurant which is very well done and great for a taco place. Hostess, bartender, and waitress were all very kind and accommodating to my large party. That is rather rare in TC! Food was great, and so were the drinks. I would 100% recommend for those who love Mexican and a trendy dining experience.

This place is the place! The tacos are delicious! There’s so many different options for dipping your chips into. A bunch of different types of tequila. They have tacos on a set menu they can make or you can build your own! Definitely can’t go wrong here

Barrio catered our corporate event and the experience was 5 star from start to finish. The coordinator that setup our catering menu and details was always quick to reply and happily accommodated our changes. The delivery was on time and everyone commented on how GREAT the food tasted. I even received followup contact afterwards asking if everything was to our liking. HIGHLY RECOMMEND especially for catering.

Wife and I are staying in-town for the holiday weekend, and were in the mood for some tacos (after searching the plethora of options in TC). So glad we came here. Meal started awesome with chips and salsa (some of the best verde salsa we’ve ever had, and that’s our jam). The crate your own tacos are a genius idea, and we’re surprised this was the first time we’ve come across it (Chipotle does count, or come close). Will definitely come back again when in the area!
