The place wasn’t busy at all. The total occupancy of this restaurant says 260. There was maybe 20 customers there total. My girlfriend and I stood and waited to be seated for 20 minutes. We weren’t even acknowledged during this period. My girlfriend ordered a glass of Cabernet wine and the glass that she was served was extremely dirty. Not even a bit cleaned. It had finger prints, sticky stuff, and lip prints all over it. I let the waitress know and she apologized and brought another glass. The SECOND glass was half cleaned, but still dirty. I couldn’t believe it. To keep my food from being messed with, I didn’t complain a second time. I ordered fish and chips. The French fries were excellent, but the fish was burned pretty good. I ate 2 of the 3 pieces to not complain too much, but when the waitress asked how everything was, I informed her that the fish was burned, but it’s ok. We stayed at the Best Western next door, so we were supposed to get 10% off the total. She informed us that she would adjust the bill due to the discrepancies, so she said we got our 10% off plus an additional $8 off the meal for the issues. Well, we got the $8 off, but didn’t get the initial 10% off. I can sit here and think all night and not come up with a more unpleasant experience during dinner. The food sucked…the service sucked…dirty dishes. They weren’t busy at all. Good help is hard to find nowadays. I will NEVER be back.

Our visit to Bennigan’s was a bit of a mess. We entered the restaurant and noticed there were signs about pizza delivery. I actually thought pizza sounded great, but since the signs all talked about delivery I thought I’d ask if that was something you could get while dining in. There were also signs all over stating “wait to be seated,” so we stood in the entry way (alone, not another person in sight) for a good five minutes before someone came to seat us.

It took 10 minutes to get our drinks, 40 minutes to get our food, then our food came out cold. Only 2 other tables and a couple of people at the time we placed our order. The hostest was eating in the staff hallway where everyone could see him, then chewing his food and drinking soda by the bar while watching tv. The service and food have gone downhill. The prices are high for cold bar food. $15 for a cold burger and fries. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

I really liked the fish and chips. Hubby had the Monte Christo sandwich which he enjoyed. I also tried the Irish car bomb which is a whiskey shot poured into a Ginuess. Very reasonably priced as well.

Everything was just ok, not bad but not impressive. Good selection of food, some of ours was over cooked, mixed drinks, beer, and wine, and plenty of seating. Clean restaurant and staff was friendly, just nothing that would make me want to visit regularly.
