Lam’s kitchen in Plantation Market! 6 stars for service. I usually come for lunch because dinner is always long line. I love how they always give me a big smile and makes me feel like home. As good as you can get for Chinese food in Charlotte area. Most dim sum dishes were solid and taste pretty good. Other a la carte items are good too (granted I haven’t tried every item). It’s a bit pricey but you can’t find better dim sum unless you go to Atlanta.

I’ve heard so many good things about this place that I just had to come try. This restaurant isn’t a huge place so there’s bound to be a wait so I wasn’t surprised when they told us it would be a 40 minute wait. The bar area which only seats about 7 people, is a first come first serve area so it wouldn’t be a bad spot for solo diners. We ended up waiting only about 20 to 30 minutes so less than the anticipated time.

After reading so much about this place I had to give it a try . very good beef chow fun. The two dim sum dishes were ok .Very disappointed at the Kung Pao chicken lunch as the meat was over-tenderized= ultra mushy .I am a big fan of Cantonese food and yet I would hesitate to return to this place for a family dinner .

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! We decided to try again on a Sunday around 11:30am. I had checked Yelp to see if reservations were required (even looked for an Open Door link) and also checked the restaurant’s web site. There was NO comment, mention or suggestion that one should make reservations.

They did have us in and out fast like we asked. The decor needs some love as well as the restrooms. Food was almost good but the duck was cold and some of the deep fried chicken actually had little chicken in it. Overall mixed experiance – sorry. I did like my fried rice.

We thought we’d give this place a second chance and it still sucked. The first time we were there over an hour never even got our Main course. The second time we got our food faster but the service sucked. It started when we walked in we asked for a booth there was two of them available. The young lady said that we couldn’t sit there and they do not take reservations. They set us at a table in front of the booths the next two people that walked in she sat at the booth. Our waiter happened to be the bartender and he was not busy. He did answer some of our questions but the food was brought out by other women and they never refilled our drinks we would put them together on the end of our table. They walked around refilling water for people but not our tea. We finally had to get somebody’s attention to get refills. The food was mediocre at best.
