Great food and great service. We went without a reservation and got seated right away. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and had great flavor as well. They had life music that put the atmosphere in the right place.

Would be a full five stars but the service was terrible. Our drinks took over 15 minutes to get to the table, had to ask for bread when other patrons around us were getting theirs when they were seated 10 minutes after us and my salad finally came out with the dinner so I sent it back. All that said the food was amazing. Very well prepared and the live music set it all off. We’ll be back again and I don’t want to tank the review just because of our bad service since I think this restaurant deserves better.

Great place to come for steak in Durango! We are from California & came through here on our vacation for a relatives birthday dinner. The staff were so accommodating, live musician sang Happy Bday, it was absolutely wonderful. The food was pretty good as well. Steak was cooked good, and sides and dessert were above average. I was very impressed with Fur Trappers, and would definitely recommend you eat here if in the area, will be returning the next time. Thank you for a great dinner Fur Trappers Team!

I had the steak and lobster. SUPERB!!! I am a foodie and eat out frequently, but somehow Fur Trappers escaped my radar. I am so glad I found this amazing steak house. Great vibe with live music. The owner Cheryl is incredible touching tables the entire time we were there. I will be back time and time again

Wife and I just had a wonderful meal at Fur Trappers. Turns out it is a locally game owned business. Met a couple of them who we enjoyed some great conversation with. They served a fantastic Surf and Turf plate that had steak shrimp, lobster and scallops. Don’t see that nice a combination very often. Wife had a shrimp cocktail and sirloin. Everything was prepared well and tasty. They haven’t been open long but I hope they are accepted and thrive. Great little restaurant with good ambiance and live music. They are making a great addition to the area. Good luck!

What a lovely dinner experience! Our server, Grace was kind and attentive. Her bubbly can-do attitude was the caramel on our cobbler! The Tuscan mushrooms were delightful. The house bread rolls surprising and unlike anything we have ever enjoyed before. (That’s a good thing) My steak was cooked a perfect medium, my husband was pleased with his med-rare. His lobster tail also did not disappoint. While we sat on the charming patio which was very relaxing- I did go inside and appreciated how clean, open and inviting it felt in there. The live cowboy tunes added to the overall experience. I hope this “new” steak house keeps delighting the senses for a long time.

Great spot for steaks and drinks after a good day of skiing or snowmobiling. There was even live music when we ate there (guy playing classic rock songs extremely well).
