This was our first time here today. We are from the DFW metroplex and have had many food places to choose from, including sushi. We’ve been told about Yummy Sushi from many people here though. I had reservations about sushi in Minden, Louisiana… but this place exceeded my expectations and was everything positive that I was told. The sushi is very good, and so is the Miso soup. The wasabi isn’t as hot as I prefer but that’s very minor.

We have been here several times over the years. The food is good. The server was friendly and helpful. The time waiting for the food is too long. We waited over 30 minutes for our food. It was good. Seems like it would be less expensive to get sushi here and eat in your car instead of dining at a sushi restaurant but that’s not the case. So we will probably opt for a full service restaurant in the future.

“Its good for Minden” just resonates in my head. Don’t get me wrong, the concept of getting sushi at a former sonic/bumpers is definitely unique on its own. You pull up in selected spots and await a staff member to approach you to place your order. Things are made fresh so do expect a wait. The poor server is literally running to keep up with everything. Lunch time gets busy so don’t come in a hurry.

Always awesome! We’ve been coming here as we travel through a couple of times a year over the last three years. It has always been amazing food. We have had several sushi rolls, the udon noodles and fried rice, all are great!

Shocked at how delicious their food is. 4 stars because it takes forever BUT i feel like I expect it to be fast because of the way the restaurant is set up and it’s NOT a fast food place. It’s fresh and delicious sushi and other offerings like fried rice and dumplings and seaweed salad. Everything we have gotten is goood.
