I’m sure our dismal experience was not the norm here or else. This place would be closed down. Our onion rings, chicken strips, sweet potato fries were all over cooked possibly in very dirty oil and almost burnt. My shredded pork on a sandwich and my husband’s ribs were great, the coleslaw was terrible. It had the appearance of being already been chewed up. Perhaps they chopped it too small, it was very unappealing. I’m just glad I didn’t have to cook dinner. I’m sure this is not how it normally is here. Maybe they have a new cook or maybe he’s just a terrible cook. It was made worse because one of my friends that ate with us complained a lot about everything. It was a sad dinner. I would love to give this place another chance.

We walked in at 7:30pm on a Friday night and they already had the chairs up on the tables. So we asked what time do they close. The girl behind the counter said 9:00pm so we were a little confused. So we proceeded to order our food for dine in. Then my husband got made a mixture of sweet tea and peach tea as he always does. We sat down to eat and a young girl with her hair pulled up came to our table and asked did we get any tea. My husband said yes and told her what kind so she proceeded to tell him that she was going to refill his drink so she could wash the tub out. So she took his cup and filled it with the bottom of the barrel sweet tea. We were very confused thinking that she was making fresh tea for him but that definitely was not the case. So then he went ahead and drank the tea that she gave him. Then he wanted a refill so I asked could he get some more tea and the response was that they didn’t have any more tea. So the other girl said hold on and she brought back an unsweetened tea and a sweet tea in two cups and said he could mix those and left it on the table. There was cussing going on in the kitchen and the two girls left kept asking each other what time it was. Needless to say we felt very uncomfortable and rushed even though we got there early. The food is always good but the staff this time really was really rude in my eyes. Other people came in and I guess they couldn’t have tea rather. I don’t know but it was very disappointing considering we really like to come here. Hmmm.

A few months ago I enjoyed going to Shane’s Rib Shack in Bethlehem, Ga but the food and the customer service took a dive. I contacted management. They were apologetic and refunded my check.

We had ribs that fell off the bone not heavy smoked and onion rings that were hot and crispy we enjoyed this meal. Peach tea was really good too. I asked the lady who brought them to our table to cut them up and she was happy to help.

Well we have ordered from this place many times and they have option to get extra crunchy okra.. well that’s a real problem when they serve it basically raw and nasty tasting. They didn’t include the hushpuppies either. For the large cost they should try to at least cook the food correctly. FRIED OKRA IS SUPPOSED TO BE CRUNCHY!!

My daughter loves the sauce… Didn’t care for what she ordered. She said the meat was flavorless and the sauce was the only thing carrying it . I felt horrible because she wanted GA bbq and they were the only place open at the time she’d arrived in town. However, the service was very pleasant as was the atmosphere.

My first mistake was ordering a salad….. I knew I should have ordered some real food. My lettuce was brown and slimy. The grilled chicken was good so I ended up eating that from the salad. The fruit flies helped themselves to my bowl Brunswick Stew. Stew was ok, not stellar, didn’t eat it. For the price I expect to have fresh lettuce on a salad. Well, at a restaurant, at any price, I expect to have fresh lettuce on a salad. Most likely won’t be visiting here again. Didn’t enjoy it a couple of years ago and didn’t care much for it today. That’s ok Barrow County-ites….. many other places I can go and enjoy. I’ll save all the Shane’s for y’all.
