YES. This is the small hidden breakfast gem you’re looking for when visiting Port Clinton. Food is homemade, fresh, and delicious. Service is homey and efficient. You’ll witness wait staff greeting locals by name and you don’t have a long wait between ordering and receiving food.

Hungry and looking for a breakfast place, we found this place and got the breakfast jackpot! Arriving at a busy time or name was taken outside, and we had to wait maybe 10 minutes.

this is an average place. though everyone is cramped into a very small building. there’s fairly long wait times and the food takes awhile as well. the bacon is very fatty and quite crispy. they put way too much butter on their toast as well. everything else was alright

There was a small craft advisory on Lake Erie in the morning on May 17th, so we decided to find someplace to eat breakfast. Finally hit the jackpot finding Ala Carte Cafe. The food was very good, at a great value, with even greater service. It’s not a big place, so if you get there and can’t be seated right away this place is worth the wait. We’ll be back when we return for our next walleye hunt. Kudos to everyone at Ala Carte Cafe. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We walked in and it was crowded so we walked out and one of the servers said there was seating on the other side. We walked into the bar side and another server told us to sit at the table or at the bar. We waited for about 10 minutes and a very loud lady came from the back yelling to tell people there’s a wait. She came over to us and yelled that we needed to get up because there’s a wait. We would have been willing to wait at the table. We walked out along with 10-12 other people. There are better ways to handle a situation like this!

We didnt even get to sit down and eat. It was so crowded inside and outside the restaurant. Then a line formed behind us outside the door. I figured it was because people didnt want to eat at Wendy’s and nothing else in the area was open at breakfast time.
