My previous experience the last year was terrible. When I saw they had new management- I figured I’d give it a second chance. I am so happy I did. They brought back old menu items and it was delicious! The new management is doing a wonderful job and can’t wait to see what they do with the restaurant in coming months!

Poor service. Poor food. I ordered the smothered chicken breast. The chicken was burnt to the point that it would have been obvious to whoever grilled it. It shouldn’t have left the kitchen. My husband ordered the steak sandwich. The waitress never asked if he wanted onions or pickles etc so it came out as just the meat on the bun. We had to request the onions and pickles and the server brought them out. The ketchup was empty so we grabbed one from another table. It was not an enjoyable experience.

Absolutely the worst experience I have EVER had here! Went out for a nice lunch and thought log cabin would be perfect! Absolutely will never be back. Horrible service, server was not attentive. She never checked on our drinks or how our food was. Mind you, it was horrible. My sisters wrap came with chicken even though the menu didn’t say chicken. (She’s allergic) will not be back at all.

Celebrated my mom’s 77th birthday where she choose to come to Log Cabin. Both my mom and sister ordered there Thursday special. This was mainly bone and fat barely meat. Sauerkraut tasted funky, when this was brought to waitress attention it was like a joke. We also asked what the soup of the day was only to find out it’s not included with the meal no longer or bread. What happened to the best restaurant in Howard’s Grove? This was not good food or service.

We just happened on this place because we are traveling on highway 42 South instead of i-43. We were looking for a place to eat in Howards Grove and instead of continuing through town we took a right and like there it was. Rustic log building on the outside pretty cool and if you see the pictures the inside looks like an up north cabin, real cool.

We have been going to the log cabin a lot for a long time. It was always our go to place. It’s clean, staff is always very pleasant and prompt. Our favorite item was always the chicken tenders. They were absolutely delicious. They were really hand dipped pieces of chicken, like home cooked. The large order was big enough that you could always take some home. They were a really treat. But they recently changed them. Now the chicken tenders are like a pressed chicken similar to what you get at a fast food restaurant. The portion size is now so small it is like a kids meal. When our server brought them to the table she looked at me and said “sorry they changed them”. We were so disappointed, not with our server but that our go to meal at our go to restaurant was changed and this is not a good change. I really wonder why they did this? This really turned us off and it is very unlikely we will go back. Very unfortunate.

Food was great. Told it would be a 30 min wait when we checked in. 4 other couples waiting. A min of 4 tables were visable that just needed to be bussed and wiped down to be usable. These same tables still needed to be bussed 20 mins later as we waited. Wait staff very young and what appeared to be a manager was more waitress and less manager than was required.
