You cannot get the pulled pork without the sauce, they put it on when they pull it, they said to keep it moist? I’ve had it elsewhere and it’s moist just from the pork juices no sauce needed ,so???

We were on our way from FL to NC and looking for a place to eat lunch. We found this place using the internet. And let me tell you everything we had was good. Great sweet T. The fried okra was super good, and the BBQ Ribs, Chicken, and Pulled Pork was Delicious!!! The smoke house salad was good and the Ranch dressing was homemade.

I’m leaving this review because I’m not sure if it was an off day or if there was ill intent involved. This establishment closed at 2pm the day my mom & I visited. Driving through Adel, we arrived a little before 12pm, my mother was craving ribs so she went in. Upon entering there was a weird atmosphere because she received stares from all the other customers but still proceeded to try to place an order with the hostess. After looking over the menu, finally she decided on just the ribs. They hostess took her order but came back out to say they were out of ribs. I’ve never heard of a barbecue place running out of ribs, especially not that early. I’m not saying it’s impossible but we couldn’t help but feel as if we just were being refused service due to her race.

About a mile off the interstate but well worth it! When you walk in the door two things tell you it’s going to be good – all the local folks are there eating and the aromas coming from the kitchen are amazing!! Be sure to save room for dessert.
