This was a perfect place for a good, filling, inexpensive lunch. I love a good buffet, and this was just that! The food was good, not earth shattering good, but good for cheap, ready to eat buffet food. They had fried chicken, chicken livers, baked chicken, and meatloaf, various veggies, a salad bar, and some dessert options (2 hot, 2 cold). I would have liked better meat options but the veggies were very good as was the pudding.

My husband and I visited this restaurant while traveling. Husband was pleased with his steak, I was most definitely pleased with my sauteed shrimp. The loaded baked potato was out of this world, plenty of everything on it. Salad bar was loaded with options. OH!!!! Their fried pickles are off the chain. Our waitress was AWESOME. Old fashioned country food and family atmosphere. Sunday brunch is a trip back in time. Chicken and okra. Rice and gravy! Peach cobbler for desert! We will definitely come back!

All in all I would probably go back but it was a little pricey for what I got. I got the Ribeye and a sweet potato with the salad bar for around 30 before tip. The salad bar wasn’t very impressive and the iceberg lettuce that it featured was mostly gone and wilted like it had been sitting for a while or gotten frozen. The steak was good but had a good bit of gristle and the sweet potato had been about overcooked. The service wasn’t fast but it was decent .

Oh my the best southern buffet. Corn cakes are amazing as well as the chicken, vegetables and cobblers. Yum. We travel thru on the way back to Michigan and make sure we stop here. Wait staff are wonderful!!! We will be back next year. Sam will you write a cookbook?

Sams scampi is the best I’ve tasted, the seafood was cooked perfectly, the hubby loves the steak n salad and the fried chicken was so crisp n juicy. Definitely my favorite place in the area.
