I was recently in Asia and had a bunch of great Chinese food. The past week has been super wet and cold so I was craving for some warming, spicy, comfort food.

Went here with a friend for dinner and I was very surprised at how good everything was. This place needs higher reviews. I would bathe in the garlic bok choy sauce and the Szechuan shrimp was really really good as well. We also had green beans and spicy pork won tons which were not like DTF level good but still very good. I will be back to try more very soon. Everything was very fresh tasting.

Solid Chinese food. Owner had us try a new dish they are working on, was an interesting egg and tofu pancake. The eggplant, chicken stir fry, and green beans were best. The kungpao chicken was closer to sweet and sour but tasty regardless. Would come back!

Gone past this place for years and never went in. Finally went in with my father and neither of us were disappointed. Our server was super nice and very patient with us and helped us figure out what we were gonna get after realizing we weren’t able to order off the lunch menu lol. Food came out quick, was delicious, and reasonably priced. (Photo was taken after the meal, whoops)

Tang Dynasty’s XLB is among the best in Portland. Not as good as Din Tai Fung, but very close to it. It’s definitely way better than many other restaurants. The wrapping was thin (in a good way), the stuffing was juicy.

We live in the Scappoose/St. Helens area, but used to live in this part of Portland–sometimes I crave some good Chinese food.

The staff here is very nice and welcoming. I would return just for that. However, the sesame chicken I ordered was extremely dry and I could not finish it. It is very possible that it was just an off dish and that the rest of the food is wonderful so I’m not writing it off, but I will likely get something other than sesame chicken next time.
