This place is HANDS DOWN the best sub shop in Boone! A little pricey but worth every penny. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. They even pass out FREE COOKIES on certain days. Fresh, fast and delicious. I’ve never had a bad experience.

I was hoping this place would live up to the hype, but sadly it did not. The chicken in my Caesar wrap was probably some of the driest chicken I’ve had, it felt like it got put in the microwave for way too long. The French fries were extremely salty, one of us had to constantly wipe them down before eating to remove the salt. The service was a bit slow as well, you’d expect a sub place to be relatively quick to make your food.

Penn Station in Boone NC is amazing spot if you want a super sub sandwich, fries or salad. It is so great to go to a restaurant with not only great food that is always so hot and fresh but wonderful friendly staff. My favorite is the grill chicken with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. The chicken is fresh real chicken. You can actually see it is when they are preparing it. It is prepared fresh for all customers so if you have to wait a few minutes it is worth it because you know it is cooked fresh . That is one of the main reason why we go there. I love the days when they hand out the sample mini cookies which are so full of chunks of chocolate. . It is such a special treat and I know that it i something they do not have to do. Everyone there are extra friendly. The owner and his staff goes that extra mile to make sure everything is perfect. If you want some great food this is the place to go. I recommend it to everyone I know and they always thank me for telling them about Penn Station in Boone.
