Comfortable place with a great burger. Service was great. Prices are a little high, but food was good. Cheese curds are battered in house and are really good. Burger was awesome. French Onion soup was seasoned oddly. Lava cake dessert was fantastic. Decor is rustic. Lots of room, and a back room for parties.

Had dinner with friends there. The food is amazing and the portions are big. Has a big variety of choices. Price wasn’t to bad, plan on spending 30 or more. Staff was really sweet and on the ball. Very clean and open, table and bar siting. Was a really fun night with good food and good friends.

Excellent food, excellent service, we’ve come to know the manager Chaz through a few repeat visits, he works to no end to make sure the customers are satisfied. He is passionate about hospitality, remembers customers names, drinks and even food order frequently. We try new restaurants regularly but rarely do we find a staple like this. We haven’t found a bad dish here. Will continue to return for the service, food and atmosphere. Great to find a neighborhood restaurant like this!

We went there, for the first time since reopening. We sat at the bar, and waited over 15 minutes for a bartender to even recognize we were there. The only reason she did was because my husband stood up and put his hand over the bar to wave down the bartender. There is NO doubt in my mind that we would have sat there for over 30 minutes with no service. The food was better than in the past, which was good. It used to be it felt like the neighborhood hang out, where they knew what you needed when you sat down. We will give it another shot, and hope for better service next time.

Service was good but the food wasn’t that great. We had the cheese curds as an appetizer. They were ok. Wife had a Reuben with onion soup and I had a pulled pork sandwich with fries. Fries were cold, pulled pork was way too rich. Too much sauce. Reuben and onion soup wasn’t that good either. We won’t be back.

Very good bar food. Much better than food served when it was owned by the previous owners. Burger was fresh and delicious. Chopped steak was more of a ground steak but tasty. Will definitely come back there again.

Wonderful dining experience! Went with some friends who are locals in St. Charles. Asked the server for recommendations, took her advice and ordered the breakfast burger with sweet potato fries. The whole meal was absolutely a-maz-ing!! Atmosphere was great, server and bus boy were pleasant and friendly. Definitely recommend Niko’s Tavern if you’re in St. Charles. 🙂
