The spring rolls and banh mi hit the spot! There are a lot of choices for customization from fillings, toppings, vegetables, and sauces. It’s a fast, convenient setup so waits aren’t bad despite long during lunch rush. I appreciate that Paper Rice introduces good fast yet modern and approachable Vietnamese food in Pasadena.

Very tasty little spot to grab a snack or lunch. Definitely busy and for good reason. We had the Banh Mi and the rice cakes. Both of which were very tasty though I can’t vouch for “authenticity”. Also their lychee lemonade was . Overall really enjoyed the food and would definitely come back if I was in the area more often.

I’ve been coming here for the past two years, and they always have the bestspring rolls ever. Line can be long, but worth it every time. I love the concept of choosing everything that goes inside and their sauces are so good. Pro tip: go on weekends and grab the Xôi Chiên (Fried sticky rice w/shrimp and beef). They are my favorite!

Food is pretty good, I love there selection of sauce! Service was kinda slow though, and price to portion ratio is kind on the upper side of thing. Parking kinda sucks, but that’s generally Pasadena. Overall a good chipotle style Vietnamese food that requires few extra bucks.

Subway style except it’s summer rolls!! Nice little spot for a quick bite. Ingredients are fresh and made to order. It’s a neighborhood spot for summer Vietnamese rolls if you don’t feel like driving out to OC.

Best spring rolls I’ve ever tasted. I tried one of each protein. All six were delicious. The sticky rice patties were really crispy and sticky- was getting stuck to my teeth. I want to come back again and try their items in the menu.

I think it’s solid. I’ve had better spring rolls at pho restaurants but I think the fact that you can build your own makes it an experience. The ingredients are fresh and 3 spring rolls are more than filling!

Loved this place. I got a bowl with chicken and pork, all the veggies and crunchy toppings with spicy house sauce. Sat there and watched people come and go while I ate. All the while watching the crew make spring rolls and bowls to order. Standing room only at times. Next time I’m definitely getting spring roll too. It was so good wish there was one closer to home… And then again another reason to head up to Pasadena is a good thing too…

We grab lunch there at least 4 times a month… it’s gained the popularity it deserves so the line is ridiculously long, but if you’re willing to wait, it’s worth it…. Or simply just go during no rush hours! The Latina young woman at the register is the sweetest/kindest most professional!! Always receives us with a good/positive attitude and is always so helpful!

I got disappointed here when we visited. I was expecting the spring roll to be good but it was not. The spring roll’s rice wrapper was so thick and chewy that it ruined the filling inside. The concept of build your own spring roll is great but the wrapper…
