Only thing better than a Tito’s taco is Toms.

Hubby and I came to try some tacos since titos prices are ridiculous. We really enjoyed them. The chips had salt and were warm. I thought the tacos had more meat in them than titos. The salsa was almost exact. I’m so glad we tried them out. Found a new spot to get our crunchy tacos and salsa fix. 🙂

Tasty tacos. Not sure how authentic they are, but they are pretty darn yummy. I’d be here more often if they took credit cards and had a dining room.

Well I guess there is one of these places every state or so – somewhat legendary… but for no apparent reason. My lady who is from San Diego heard that Tom’s is the closest thing to a SD mainstay everyone loves. We tried on a Tuesday thinking their “Taco Tuesday” posters meant they’d have some kind of special. Found prices way higher than other places. Preferring authentic tacos, I asked for “No Cheese” and inquired what else would be on my taco. The employee said, don’t worry it’d still be the best taco I’d ever had. I wondered if Tom marinaded meat overnight like “Fuel City” tacos in Dallas. My mouth began watering thinking of Fuel City tacos. Upon arrival I was shocked to see a COVID era blockade at the front door. Dining room closed and used as an unsightly kitchen equipment storage. Washing hands before eating was out of the question. Lame. Eating in the car super lame. Eating Tom’s Tacos, the lamest disappointment in a very long time.

I was treated to some take out. And it was the best Taco I have had in years! The chips had just enough salt to enhance rather than overwhelm. I have already recommended it to several friends! Cash only and I LOVE THAT

I’m stoked about the menu. I can’t tell the difference between Toms and that place in Culver City with the exception of the prices. If I had to choose I’d take Tom’s over that other place that starts with a T /‘d ends in itos.

So sadly this will be the last time, I get takeout. The meat is very tasteless and dry the salsa is very bland no taste…. Overall just disappointing with meat like texture not actual meat…

So firstly. I’m not a fan of Tito’s Tacos and I’ve seen multiple reviews about Tom’s stating that it’s similar. I was hesitant to try this place but it’s near my son’s martial arts school.

This is the most disgusting taco I’ve ever had in my life, threw away the chicken taco because it’s not chicken… it’s a flat shredded pressed piece of something foreign literally not chicken.
