Mr. Kalogeras was in the restaurant business for many years and was excited that his boys (Michael and George) were opening up in the region. He was in business for 20 years at Delta Family Restaurant on 53rd and Broadway in Gary, IN. He then moved to Monticello, IN and opened up Anglers for another 20 years. His son, Michael Kalogeras took over because he needed a heart transplant.

Tried this cafe for the first time. Food and service was very good. I loved the decor and was very clean and well kept. I had an meat omelet sausage, ham, bacon and green pepper and onion. My wife had shrimp and grits. She enjoyed the flavor of the dish but didnt like some of the ingredients. Corn and sour cream. Pancakes were outstanding!!

I loved Patty right from the start and hugged her. Kindred Spirit. So many gluten free options. Mom loved the chicken and rice homemade soup, I loved the Mex skillet, and my sister loved the chicken bowl. I’m from IL… I’d go here again. Festive for all holidays.
