I go to Local Kitchens often for their tasty food options, and ease of ordering. The staff is usually welcoming and determined to serve the food as ordered. Temperature has not once been an issue and we’ve ordered over 30 meals. My son loves to run around the lawn just outside in the Commons around our meal time.

Super excited this opened in Davis, this place is much needed here. Having 5 good quality restaurants open up in one place with fast service that stays open late, this is definitely an amazing concept. You walk in and you order on the iPads that they have there. It’s awesome that you can order from different restaurants on the same tab, super helpful for big and indecisive groups. It shows you how much time your order has left and you can order online as well.

Awesome being able to add 5 restaurants under one roof. The food was very good with fresh ingredients and was well prepared. The fact most of the ordering process is fully automated was also nice (we appreciated being able to have an updating estimate for when our order was ready). Some suggestions: it would be great to see more seating and it is probably worth the investment to have the free water offered chilled instead of room temp. Would definitely come again!

Interesting Local Kitchen with a variety and diverse food selection. I ordered at The Melt and got a BBQ Bacon Meltburger along with bacon cheddar fries. The burger was cooked so deliciously and the patty was so tender. The buttery brioche bun and caramelized onions was so crunchy and good. The BBQ sauce adds a really sweet tangy flavor. The fries were season well and the cheese was melted evenly on all of the fries. The bacon was so crunchy and the sauce was a nice touch that mixed all of the flavors.

An interesting variety of foods in one location (the old Pluto’s spot) good for when you really can’t decide where to go. The place is geared around online ordering and takeout, with kiosks for ordering instead of a menu and cashier. There is some dine-in seating available. They have some good online discounts and a loyalty program. Numerous Veggie options available. Food was prepared very quickly, especially for opening day. Flavorful and good portions, overall quite excellent!

I am so sorry to give this review because the service is really good and I think the idea behind the restaurant is valuable, but the food is disgusting. I got a sake burrito that I think was the worst I’ve ever tried, the salmon used was clearly not fresh (I am writing this review from the toilet), the Israeli salad was missing a lot of flavour and so did the chicken bowl, which looks delicious in the picture but is was a mix of not so fresh rice and reheated chicken. This food was way overpriced for the quality offered.
