Tried cactus for the first time in the molcajete. It was delicious! The staff is so kind and accommodating. It is a bit difficult to get in the doors with my wheelchair, but worth the struggle.

Went here for the first time. We seemed to have been waiting the whole time. Quick to get us a seat, but then we waited a long time for drinks, orders to be taken, and after waiting 15 minutes for our bill to come we just went to the front desk. Some of our food was fantastic such as the chicken enchilada and rice. The rest seemed flavorless. The customer service was lacking and not friendly at all. If we come back, hoping for a better turn out.

Don’t see a photo of their yummy chimichanga posted on here so thought I’d share. So many yummy dishes to choose from. My guy ordered their garlic chicken and loved the taste. His only complaint was having to cut the chicken to put in their fresh tortilla wraps but still was worth it. Lunch for two with soft drinks totaled to a little over $29 without tip. A good sit down place for lunch if not too in a rush and just want to enjoy a freshly cooked meal.

This restaurant gave me diluted iowa Mexican food vibes. I would use the word “authentic” loosely. The menu was missing many Mexican favorites I’ve eaten at most restaurants. The queso is delicious! Although it’s weird that they put queso on most of their chicken dishes. Also weird that some menu items some with rice not rice and beans. Pictured is the chicken fajitas and the garlic chicken. Overall food was really good but I could enjoy some of my Mexican favorites because the restaurant didn’t even carry them which I found odd. Also chips didn’t seem like traditional freshly made chips I’ve had they were thicker. Would maybe return, I’ve had better Mexican food in Iowa city for sure.

Very good fare, with friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Accommodating, and can accept large parties in a separate room.
