Overhyped, food was a huge let down, chicken was rubbery and tasted like it just got microwaved, fries had no seasoning and were dry, Texas Roadhouse steak sauce tastes like an off brand A1 sauce, steak itself was good, the rolls that came at the beginning were the best food tho. Service was fine, atmosphere is that of a vintage old west movie. Bathroom wasn’t super clean, and i also noticed some people did not wash their hands as they left 🙁

I went to the Coralville Texas Roadhouse last night August 25, 2023 around 8pm and I just wanted to enjoy a nice grilled chicken breast and my two potatoes. I ate half of chicken and one potato. Lemme note I ordered two plain baked potatoes since I’m severely allergic to dairy. But I was enjoying my meal when I had a phone call I had to take, I look up and my food is gone. So of course I’m going to react as to where the hell my food went. The waiter Alex comes back and has my plate on the bottom of his stack of plates in his hand. He goes and says “were you not finished”? I mean did it look like I was finished first of all. I had a whole potato and the other half of my chicken left. A ton of food still left, he goes “I’m sorry I can have them make you another one, you’ll just have to wait a little”. Like I’m sorry but if he would have asked me if I was finished, not the people sitting at the table. I’m sorry but I’ve never had a problem at any Texas Roadhouse location and this just irritated me. I paid full price for a meal I didn’t get to enjoy and finish. I mean it is just money right, since it just grows on trees. So ridiculous. The waiter Alex was good up until he took my plate before asking me personally if I was done.

1. Was told there was a 40 minute wait. 45 minutes later we enquirer on how much longer? We were told it would be 5 more minutes. 15 minutes later we enquirer again, only after we enquirer were we put in a standing area in cue position 2 behind another upset couple who were bypassed or forgotten like we were!

We ordered food for pick up. One of my husband’s sides was missing. They were closed by the time we noticed. I’m sure they would have corrected it. It was ordered for a time and was about 10 min late. Not really that big a deal but we had been traveling all day. The food was delicious.
