In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I was new to Dave’s Hot Chicken and the best experience I’ve had with a real chicken sandwich so I highly recommend trying one if you haven’t yet. It’s perfectly spicy for those who like spice but for those who like something more blazing hot it might not be hot enough. I normally like more than standard hot but I was perfectly happy. The coleslaws was amazing because it’s not a mayo ,it’s a vinaigrette Style.

Nice simple menu. Sliders, tenders, and fries were delicious. The “hot” was just right. Pickles broke up the richness of the food. Sliders had kale-slaw. Awesome ambience and music in the restaurant.

What little they do, they do it very well. As far as entres, they offer 3 options – 2 strips, 2 sliders, or 1 and 1, in order of increasing prices. In addition they offer several side orders to go with the entre. The seasonal fries I had were good and hot. I’m not sure but it seems that when my friend and I were there at dinner time, they cooked everything upon ordering. That way everything was very fresh. The chicken comes in 5 levels of spicy heat – no heat up to extremely hot. My friend got the lowest level and I got the medium. Believe me, mine was quite hot and I used a small stack of napkins to wipe the sweat from my head and face as I ate. I loved it! After all, the place is called Dave’s Hot Chicken for a good reason. Thank goodness that their fountain drinks are bottomless!

Clean, cool spot located in the heart of the desert! I decided to try this spot out for the first time and wow! Ashley was super kind and sweet, service was fast and quick. Chicken itself hands down had my lips smacking, pickles were great, slaw was on point and those fries had great flavor, the mac and cheese was awesome! Bold flavor all around and all fresh! I devoured the whole plate. Thank you guys for a great experience, I’ll be back again soon, this was my first and definitely not last time coming back!

I can handle spicy food but these guys do not mess around with their spice levels. I ordered (extra hot) sliders and could not finish one slider had to get many refills to cool the spiciness. I would definitely go back but go with a mild the fries were very good and I could tell the chicken would be enjoyable without so much spice.

This will be the most consistent chicken you will come across. Heat levels are nice and plenty to choose from. The fried chicken are seasoned well and come out fresh. The chicken is always made to order and very juicy and well seasoned with your spice level preference. The chicken sandwich haha the meat to bun ratio (pause) is definitely more meat then buns but I don’t complain (pause again). Dave’s sauce is very reminiscent of Canes sauce very nice and helps cut the spicy of the chicken. Clean restrooms and seating areas and the price is the best you’ll find for the portions. 5/5 would recommend
