These mfkz charge tax on food stamp sales. That’s illegal. Make sure you tell them you paying with food stamps which are exempt from sales tax. Make sure you paying the price advertised on the menu. Food good tho. Higher than other Louisianans. The quality makes up for that. But their bad business practices defeat all that.

This place gets 5 stars for the gumbo alone. The chicken was a bit overcooked, but tasted good. The gumbo however, was ON POINT. I grew up in Louisiana, and I put it in my top 5 ever. It is a combination of seafood gumbo and chicken and sausage gumbo. Normally those are two different gumbo entirely, but it worked. Awesome.

Good eats the people begging for more out doors and then coming in the establishment ask for money to eat than leaving to go else where kinda disturbing I purchased food for one and give one cash to buy some food well I guess that’s my experience on one visit. Best fried chicken in LA county. Good waffles. It is made-to-order so the wait time is about 10-15 minutes for chicken/longer for fried fish. (Call in advance is the way to go). Everything is good! Get the nuggets or chicken strips!
