Diane is an awesome waitress. She makes you feel like family instead of just a customer. She knows her menu and knows her job. The food is always good which means they have a loyal kitchen staff. You can tell how good the place is by the packed parking lot unlike the restaurant up the road which will never hold a candle to Darwin’s. If you’ve never had their baked beans I highly recommend along with their creamed corn on Wednesday. Their tenders in traditional sauce are a must try too.

Breakfast was great and very affordable. The waitress was right, the biscuit was a good choice. The service was friendly and quick.

I’m a city girl from the North and I’ve never been to a place like this. Their breakfast is amazinggggg. Best biscuits and gravy I’ve ever eaten, the sausage links are amazing too and you can tell they’re local. You can tell when you walk in everyone knows each other and everyone is treated like family. Great prices too.

I had fried shrimp, flounder, and whitefish with a sweet potato and coleslaw. It was perfectly fried and all of it was delicious. Pricing is normal. Limited menu options for different days. It was my first time eating there, and hope to go again.

Waitress was very friendly. The daily menu is mounted along the whole wall in the back of the room. The food was very good. I went here for the first time because it was rated #1 on trip advisor for Hamptonville. I can see why, its a good place to go. Prices are good! For 3 people, we each got a shrimp or fish plate, and the total was around $30.

Great meat plus three restaurant. True home style cooking. Chicken pie was delicious. Mac and cheese was outstanding and the potato salad had a lot of flavor. You can’t go wrong stopping here.

This was our first visit and it was great. I had the club sandwich and my boyfriend had the hotdogs. Good food and friendly staff.

Its nothing fancy. The specials board is a chalkboard on the wall. The food is good, and most of their regular customers are friendly. The atmosphere is bland, but it’s a simple country restaurant.
