We stopped for lunch, so we ordered light, so we thought! The hummus and peta bread to start was the best I’ve had. Could have made that sour lunch, but a great shareable appetizer. We split the Chicken Kafta Kebob wrap and a Chicken Gyro. Both very good. We would like to try the traditional lamb and beef gyro, falafel and baba ghanous next time. Service was great. Expand your culinary palate if you have not tried Mediterranean food yet. Many interesting dishes and seasonings to try.

Had an early lunch here last week. The dining area was spacious and well lit. My server was prompt and made a great recommendation to try the Sujouk lunch plate. It came with a fountain drink and choice of salad or soup. I got the house salad which was dressed perfectly with an olive oil and herb style dressing. The Sujouk is an herbed beef with a red pepper paste on it and it was OUT OF THIS WORLD FLAVORFUL! The plate was loaded with seasoned rice, garlic dip and pickled veggies which went great all mixed up. I will definitely be back to try more.

My 1st time going I ordered the feta fries and chicken shawarma. The food was great, very delicious and came out promptly . The place had a beautiful setting and a gold aesthetic . Location is nice , open view of the street with just enough sun . Wifi access . Great customer service, my hostess was very sweet and attentive. Overall, I recommend the experience

We found a recommendation on Instagram and checked the Sahara Bistro out for a Dinner. We were the last customers of the day but were greeted super friendly. And the service was kept on this wonderful high level – super friendly, super aware. It was a pleasure. We took a big hike through the menu and ordered a lot and everything was really tasty. And hot. So everything was fresh made and had a very good flavour profile. The herby falafel and the spicy feta fries were our taste-highlights. But also the different kebabs and the fried rolls had really good seasoning. If you want to have a mediterranean journey as a meal, a clear recommendation for the Sahara Bistro in Grand Rapids.

Fantastic chicken kafta sandwich spiced perfectly. The garlic sauce is amazing but you will have garlic breath. This is a feature not a bug. Try the mint lemonade. It’s one of the most refreshing drinks I’ve had. Also a big fan of the spicy fries. Overall a great place. Must try.
