I had the vegetable pate, and the chicken with cabbage. My husband had the chicken pate and chicken with Mac and cheese, plantains. This is the best meal we have had in a long time! 10/10

Haitian food is rare to find. When I heard that there was an authentic Haitian restaurant in New Windsor that accommodated the craving for home cooked meals I decided to give Kay Nou a try. From the moment I entered the door I was greeted scents that welcomed me to the many memories that I was used to. There was a faint sound of kompas playing and the place was clean, bright, and inviting. The server was jovial and ready to recite to me the many dishes that was displayed. My first dish was the griot, which is a seasoned fried pork then I asked about the black rice which is a staple of all Haitian food. They had fish, Haitian patty, legume, sauce poi, and many more dishes that was there and on the menu. I was so overwhelmed by home meals that I decided to definitely come at another time. I enjoyed my meal so much, I decided to review and give my honest opinion on Kai Nou.
