For me, it’s the only Chinese restaurant in Bastrop. They use to have frog legs, but in the last couple of visits, there haven’t been any. The food was good, and our waitress took care of us really well.

Went here a few weeks ago with my guy after they opened back up, the food was terrible. The honey chicken was so hard and the orange chicken. Everything including the shrimp was over cooked. We thought it may have been a bad batch so we waited for more to come out and it was even harder. Don’t recommend.

Food was great! Great froglegs, fish, shrimp…. only thing is they would bring the fresh food out in small portions then wait for it to be empty before bringing more which once it was brought out it was cleared up pretty fast! But would definitely eat here again! And for anyone wondering it was only $25 for 2 adults to eat!

Food Is delicious and waiters and staff are very nice and friendly. They are very clean I’ve been coming to China star for 6 years. Although I would say if you want some good fresh food come around lunch time, and sundays are the best days to go! I love their tasty desserts and their delicious shrimp.

I ordered Tso Chicken (Which I always order) and got Orange Chicken. I called them and they said bring it back and they will have me some Tso chicken ready. I get there and they wanted to argue and try to convince me that their Tso chicken isn’t spicy because people don’t like it that way. I told them it says on the menu *Spicy* AND I’ve ordered it before and it was! They took the chicken I brought back and made me wait 10 minutes then handed me back the same food (which was of course cold). These people lost a Regular customer. I could smell that the food wasn’t Tso and I threw it away. Never again. If you can’t speak English then hire someone that does. I am not an unreasonable person.
