We took a break from the Polk County fair to have dinner here. The staff was friendly and attentive, the food was made well and very delicious (we had burgers and pancakes) prices are reasonable and portions are large. Overall it’s a good wholesome family atmosphere!

Awesome food! Amazing service! And the place is so welcoming now! I ordered the horseback burger… which is like a rodeo burger on steroids. Bf ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and the recipe they use is real Italian! Found the orange slice! Definitely recommend, and we will be regular customers now.

To start, just want it clear that the waitress was the sweetest most helpful waitress I’ve ever met. She was the highlight of the entire visit to the restaurant other than reminiscing at it once being Farols. I was super excited to try this restaurant for the first time and couldn’t be more “upset” at the cook. I didn’t realize how small the steak would be so I ordered a second steak and paid extra. Well the “chef” very loudly shouted how “what was wrong with her steak? Was it not rare enough” ( it was RAW) and the sweet waitress said no she just didn’t realize how small it was and wanted a second one” to which this absolut JERK states “oh it wasn’t cooked wrong it just was big enough for her”. No it wasn’t because your supposed “8oz” steak in a the meal wasn’t big enough. So I paid TEN MORE DOLLARS FOR AN EVEN SMALLER CUT. We boxed our food, paid our tab and left. We were sitting in front of the kitchen and the entire restaurant could hear him shouting. Absolutely disrespectful but the two stars are for my salad and the waiting staff. My husbands burger tasted pre frozen and rounded Pattie’s from Safeway. But why complain and get a new one if the cook is gonna be an absolute tool from the start. Also, the steak isn’t seasoned AT ALL, I recooked and seasoned my steaks at home just to get my monies worth.

Nice local restaurant with a great menu and delicious food. The new paint and recent work done all looked great. Staff was very friendly and polite and were great about checking if we needed anything often. All the basics you would hope for in terms if breakfast, lunch and dinner options and the food came out quickly. I got the prime rib scramble and my daughter got the French toast with strawberries and whipped cream and we were both extremely happy with the dishes! Great prices as well. We will be back and I definitely recommend giving them a try!

I’ve had breakfast here many times and it’s always good. Recently I came in for dinner and not only was the food good, but we had the most amazing waitress ever. Diana was incredible and I will always ask to be put at one of her tables from now on.

Girlfriend and I came in for biscuits and gravy. We were traveling from the coast back home. It was the worst biscuits and gravy of the whole trip. I’ve never had such sweet gravy, it was absolutely disgusting. We paid her bill and left. I would not recommend anything with gravy on it on this place. The pancakes were delicious.

Real Friendly staff. Real Clean restaurant. Quality of food?: Taste, serving size, and presentation isn’t quite up to the pricing. We went for dinner. I ordered the Fish and Chips. Chips (Rally’s style fries) were good, but for $16 dollars, it came with 4 fish fingers, a “shot” glass worth of coleslaw, and same size tarter sauce. My daughter ordered the Red Burger. She had a side cup of vegetable beef soup. The burger came a’la carte (just the already built burger by itself in the middle of the plate) and was more like a breakfast thing with the breakfast sausage patty and egg. Bun size was too small, and it fell apart trying to hold it together. It commanded a gourmet burger price of $14. The pie?….well pies are always good!! I think this place was convenient to serve the Fairgrounds during events and campground. My suggestion is to wait a little while until this place gets to the level of a road side diner. I’d go a little further into the neighboring towns for now.
