First of all, I must admit that writing a negative review is not something I enjoy, especially when I kind of know the staff and owner. However, as a level 9 reviewer, honesty is paramount. Most of the time I had a great time at the West Seattle Crawfish location, so when I heard about their grand opening in Renton, I was eager to show my support, despite both locations being out of my way from the Leschi/CD areas where I reside.

Tried this place for the first time and I will say it’s beautiful inside. The vibes are great. I ordered a crawfish boil with shrimp. The flavor was okay and wish it had more zip to it. The crawfish were tiny and did not live up to my expectations. 90% of my 1lb of crawfish were tiny and I felt like it was a ripoff.

Went here with a couple friends. Some who knew the owner. I got shrimp and crawfish 4 star level spice with the house sauce. So yummy! Although wasn’t 4 star spice to me, I’d go 5 star or even beyond that next time 🙂 you can pay extra for extra extra spicy! Fries were good too. My boyfriend got the catfish and Cajun fries which he also enjoyed. Owner brought out margaritas for us to try! He was testing his new machine lol. Very nice staff and owners. 9/10 would go again. I love how they have hand washing stations.

Most of the negative reviews were at or near their grand opening. I didn’t eat here until 2 months after the fact and it was a great experience for me and my family. They must have listened to all the feedback and trained their staffs better.

Had a great experience visiting the new location yesterday. To be greeted and appreciated by the staff was beyond amazing. The energy is the place was electric. The food was amazing. Some of the biggest crawfish and gulf shrimp I’ve had in my life. As an avid seafood boil lover. I will continue to support this place. Thank you for thee service and great hospitality!

Phenomenal food! We had the smothered catfish and it was so good! Big enough for 2 (or lunch the next day) although could be eaten by 1. Michael, the bartender, made great drinks and was a delight. The work the owner has put into repurposing the building is beyond. Pay attention to details….. walls, ceilings, floors, decorations, bathrooms….. bravo and welcome to Renton!

Everything here is good. The strawberry lemonade, the smothered catfish, the gizzards, the calamari, crawfish in any of the sauces. Same with gulf shrimp. Favorite sauce is Tango sauce. 3 star spiciness
