This place is hot and miss, but if you know what to order then you’ll be set. The ‘Zarape’ or flautas is one of the best, great flavor wrapped up in a delicate flaky fried tortilla! When I bit into it, I was caught off guard by how delicate it was! The three way is always good and so is their salsa. Also a favorite mine is the green chili, it’s almost as good as commodore Guadalajara.

Carolina’s is delicious! The food is always superb. Possibly the best tortillas in town. Every time I eat here the food has been consistently excellent. Tacos, burritos, quesadillas and salsas are all great. Carolina’s is not cheap, but it’s not expensive either. The quality and portions of the food at Carolina’s makes this restaurant a great value. This is walk up dinning, but they do bring the food to your table. The service has always been exceptional. The staff are friendly, helpful and the food comes out fast. This is a new Carolina’s. I believe it was just renovated, so the restaurant feels new, clean and has a modern touch. Lots of big windows that bring in a lot of natural light. There is a small patio with some tables and chairs, if you prefer to sit outside. If you like Mexican food, I highly recommend visiting this place. You will not be disappointed.

I’m not sure if I’d come back. The customer service and speed of service were amazing.. but my food was very bland. The rice had no flavor, the beans had no flavor- the beans at least tasted fresh and homemade. My 3way burrito was literally all sauce. I tasted only a couple of small pieces of meat. The red sauce didn’t have flavor, the green sauce was actually good but there wasn’t meat. My meal wasn’t very filling for that reason.

We finally tried this place after years of being told they’re the best. The tortillas were great, but there was a hair on top of my burrito when I unwrapped it. They replaced it without an issue. The meat in our burritos was dry. The salsa was good, but heads up that if you want green salsa it comes with an extra charge. The staff were so busy having their own conversations while we ordered that it was a little difficult to believe they were paying much attention to what they were doing. We don’t plan on going back, at least not to this location.

I finally made it to this location. I have visited other over the years and loved them. I was so disappointed 1st the service was unfriendly the dining area was a mess. Salsa station horrible. Could not believe how horrible the food was. Luke warm under seasoned and just bad. I got a 3 way burrito all elements bad. With so many Mexican food restaurants in the area I would skip this place till they make changes.

We have been a customer of Carolinas for over 30 years. Today we ordered breakfast machaca and egg, chorizo and egg. The cook changed the way these are cooked with big chunks of egg to one side and meat on the other. It is awful. Carolinas said this is the new way he will be making them. We are very disappointed and will not be going back.

Update: I am starting to have mixed feelings when I think about coming here. There seems to be almost a 20 minute wait for your order. I came in one Friday mid morning for a quart of beans for dinner that night and it took 9 minutes. And agree with a review that said the quesadilla had little cheese. They are very cheap with the cheese. Still love the tacos.
