Food was fresh. You can seat whenever you like. I had the sour and sour pork and my cousin beef pork. The entree’s don’t come with rice so It was a little pricey.

Easily the best Korean-Chinese cuisine we’ve had in the east bay and San Francisco. We’ve tried several spots near this neighborhood but nothing beats this spot for Zha Zhang Mian and Fried chicken with sweet and sour sauce. Awesome price, quick service, and delicious bites.

I noticed there were no photos here of the menu. Pretty decent American Chinese food, nothing fancy and not overpriced. If you are looking for a standard Chinese food place, this is a good bet. Had Szechuan beef–it was tasty but it was breaded and oily with some cabbage as the only veggie, so don’t think you are getting California-style food here. Also, strangely, I think this place was originally Korean based on the name and characters (유 유 짜장) but they food is all American Chinese and the sign outside is Chef Yu’s.

This is Korean style Chinese food. The menu would look as if there are not many items on it like a normal Chinese restaurant but it’s because it specializes in ZaZang Mien. There are many versions of this but Chef Yu’s is pretty high on my list. All the other dishes is typical dishes that would go with the noodles. Enjoy.

I LOVE this place so much! It is a hidden off-the-wall place that has the best noodles in the Bay Area. Just the perfect texture and flavor. Yum.

You should know the indicator if the chinese restaurant is authentic when the customers are mostly chinese and the place is packed. We walked-in and got a seat not too far from the kitchen, the aroma of the cooking is very inviting. I ordered seafood ganzazang first time I’ve seen this on chinese menu. It came in a bowl so big it’s enough for 3 persons. It is a noodle soup with squid, shrimp, clams, fish, oysters, and vegetables. My goodness, i think all the sea creatures are in this bowl. The flavor is very authentic it took me back to hong-kong. Going back? Checked. Everyone should experience this place and savor it’s authenticity.

Our #1 go to place in Oakland. Chef Yu’s my favorite Korean-Chinese restaurant in the US. Their sweet and sour pork (Tangsuyuk) is super tasty. I love this place. If anyone who’s visiting the East Bay needs a recommendation on food, I always pick this one first. Quite affordable, quick and most importantly, delicious.

A must stop when you visit the Bay Area. I was pleasantly surprised when I visited Chef Yu’s their portion size was MASSIVE just like my appetite. This place put all other Chinese restaurants to shame for the cheap price of $12. There is not a question if but when will I return 10/10.

Excellent entrees / 요리, like sweet and sour pork (탕수육), fried potstickers, and especially the sweet chili shrimp (깐풍새우). Korean Chinese staples like black bean noodles (자장면) and spicy seafood noodles (짬뽕) are not bad, but the entrees are what’s really good here.
